Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.
Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).
And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.
Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).
An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.
At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.
Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.
Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.
Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.
The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

another (nearly) early-access fraud
This game is just a waste of time (grinding for materials to get cash), with no innovations. Since the beginning, one year ago, the developpers tried to enhanced it. They do so by copying ideas from others games, especially the game Subnautica, and it add no very interesting features (build a base is way more boring than craft a spaceshift piece by pice, and beside the ship can replace the terrestrial base eventually). And even since with these features, the game is as boring as it was at the launch, not to mention about the poor graphics and the terrible system of random generation of planets, flora and fauna, wich tends to be very similar pass the five first planets. To put it simple, it still a beta game with no futur. Or it is for grinding addicts. Your call, but for me it's just another early access fraud, a cash-machine to milk naive customers like myself...

Lesser version
Don't buy this game on GOG, you get a lesser copy, with a vague promise of parity with other platforms at a later date. And to make it worse, they hold back informing you about these things until it's almost too late.

I am sad the game is what is is
No mans sky could have been a really good game, but it just isn't! All the promises that were given, all the hype that was created based on vague statements from Hello Games, all for a game that is nothing more but a hull of what could have been great! The first hours are really good, if you like the art of the game it's awesome to look at, it's fun to find new stuff on the planets and you look forward to the unknown. Then you start to notice that the UI is really bad, and you need much more inventory space. So you start grinding. You spend hours harvesting expensive materials, only to sell them again and you max out your ship and suit slots. It's fun for some time, but becomes repetitive after, let's say 10 out of over 40 repetitions (48 slots max on the ship). So, you finished the grindy part, which can be done on the starter planet, now to the fun part. Well, no, not really. What seems to be something like a story, be it the Atlas path, or the journey to the center, is just a big disappointment. Watch out, spoilers ahead, well, not really: The Atlas path ends in a Textbox! You travel to 12 Atlas stations and the final one gives you the opportunity to create a new star at the edge of the galaxy. You chose yes, and nothing, absolutely nothing happens! The End. So after this big pile of nothing I had to see the Center of the Galaxy. It's the aim of the game to get there, so be it. You travel for hours, do the same shit over and over again. You don't even look at the planets anymore, cause there's nothing you haven't seen 50 times already. You get to the center, do the last jump (4 times because the game crashes all the time) and.. you get a big "fuck you and thanks for the 60 bucks" in your face, as there is NOTHING again! You zoom out of your galaxy, into a new one, start with all your stuff broken at the edge of the next galaxy where the only difference to the old one is its name. This game needs stuff to do, it needs polish, fixes and a pricetag of 25€ max. What's good: - Artstyle - Soundtrack is awesome - First 4 hours of gameplay What's not: - crashes - view distance (this is not a ps4, give me some viewdistance hello games!) - nothing to do but grind - so many broken promises - no communication from the devs after the launch at all! Do not buy this game for what it is now.
