Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.
Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).
And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.
Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).
An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.
At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.
Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.
Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.
Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.
The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Good for fans of exploration
No Man's Sky is a sandbox survival game in which you are set to explore a nearly unlimited, procedurally generated galaxy. Gameplay mostly consists of gathering resources, crafting stuff, flying to other planet, finding more resorces and so on... Furthermore, inventory management and trading are very important in this game because your inventories will fill up quickly. This can be kind of repetitive but if you love sandbox exploration games and you don't get bored easily, then this game is for you. If you travel around long enough, you will eventually find beautiful planets that are worth spending your time on them. As many other reviewers already said, this game isn't the best in terms of diversity or graphical quality and the combat mechanics aren't really good either. But the game definitely has the potential for countless hours of exploration, if you don't expect too much. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As for the technical issues: I'm running the game on a GTX 980ti and an i5 2500k@ 3,3Ghz and I'm able to play in 4k with everything set to high/ultra and I only get occasional frame hits

Needs patching
GOG needs to get a patch up for this game soon! I like thousands of other people can't get past the hello games logo without the game crashing as of version 2.0.0.2! even though i have a rig that far exceeds the minimum specs, I know this is not the fault of GOG but hello games lazy rushed console port.. fingers crossed this game for pc gets fixed soon. I would suggest waiting a while before you buy for the game to be fix for pc....

I think this will shape up to be great
Ok, so the PC ;launch was a bit rough by many accounts. Personally I have had few problems - a couple of crashes early on. This is an indie game and a small team, and I have every confidence they are working to resolve the reported issues. So far I am loving the exploration of this game, and I think it has great potential - I can see Hello Games adding more features to it in the future. And at the end of the day it's a hell of an achievement and pretty freaking ground-breaking. It's a shame so many are focusing on the negative.
