Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.
Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).
And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.
Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).
An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.
At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.
Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.
Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.
Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.
The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Once upon a fraud, now much improved
Yep it all comes down to having Sean Murray be but in position he was ill fit for at the time. Sadly he promissed so much that even Mollyneux would try to curtail the expectations. Still it worked well enough for Hello games and through some incredible hardships they pulled together a game with interesting visuals, dream-like atmosphere and rather overly ambitious scale. It is not freelancer type game i personaly approach it as base builder with side of grind... or other way around some days. Resource, mission, even dealing wih settlements is very grindy conceptualy but noone says you NEED to do these things. just play about in creative mode for few hours and see what catches your fancy. Plethora of concepts half fullfilled. This game has staggering feature creep that resulted in systems not being all that well laayered into one another nor having much deapth - minimal ship customisation, limited interactions with NPCs and even more sparse management of fleet, settlement etc. As mentioned i basicaly play predominantly for the decent depth baase builder aspect which dose have some gorgeou assets you can place. But even there i do struggle with certain itnerior decorating ideas (all my bases look same all he time because of my and game's limitations - in that order i am not creative enough to figure out way around these). I do think that if you are looking for allright game with plenty to do but little mandatory forward momentuum this COULD be your choice. there are several enjoyable aspects but it also could be something you may play like few times and gve up because it just lacks the depth. I am giving it above avarage 3/5 because i like the assets, the freedom to approach things as i please (you CAN raid planetary depot whilst still sitting in your ship for example thats funny to me) but ultimatley if you are not going to engage with large amounts of systems in some form of do it all challange you may be dissapointed by any individual present mechanic.
