Nine Parchments

I play a lot, but for sure I'm not a very good gamer. Can handle my controller good enough for games like "Remember me", the complete "Batman" series, Mad Max, Darksiders or Torchlight. But this thing frustrated me within 20 minutes to the point I ragequitted and uninstalled. After only explaining the very basics of the game it pushes you into the dungeon with no real story and just enemies coming in wave after wave. My girlfriend and I died and died in easy mode and even after we managed a difficult spot, we just died at the next one and got returned to nearly the beginning of the level. After 15 times of the same few inches of the first level, it just felt like a chore. Knowing that it can only get more demanding, we gave up. Didn't see a lot of the game, but what I saw looked great, wonderful visual and colorful like Trine with charming soundtrack. It makes me very sad that I wasn't able to play it. Regretting this purchase a lot.

I played this game for the first time back in 2018 when I got my Nintendo Switch, and I'm currently having a blast playing it with my friends on multiplayer on PC. Pros: - Multiplayer - Beautiful graphics and art style - Easy controls and mechanics (people that never play RPG love it) - Up to 4 local/internet players - Controller support is great - Can run on something as low as a Intel Graphics Card - Replayable and funny Cons: - The story is short so if you don't like grinding and unlocking you might get bored fast. - Single player mode is not good enough This is a ARPG with a giant focus on Multiplayer and, even though you can play by yourself or join online playthoughs, this is waaay funnier with your friends on call. The story on this one is pretty simple: you need to get the Nine Parchments (32 levels), with one of the two initial characters, in one of the 4 dificulty levels. The campaign is not long, but what most people that rate this game low don't get is that you're supposed to replay this A LOT OF TIMES. If doing that is not what you'd enjoy from a game like this, don't buy it, as the point of it is to replay and replay and replay in order to unlock all the characters, and staff, leveling up your character to a high level to go battle on the Arena and keep unlocking. I would recommend to anyone to buy it and give it a try. I have played almost 26 hours in the last week with my friends and still can't get enough if it. And this isn't the first time I even play it, but unlocking everything is super fun! And you'll get great laughs with friends while doing it.

I picked this up on the Switch to play with friends and managed to play all the way through, once, but have no intentions of doing so again. Do not bother playing this game alone, it is a dull slog. It fares a bit better in multiplayer, however everything about the game appears to have been designed to counter that: a) you can play with up to 4 friends, but only 2 characters are unlocked from the start. You need to not only play through a substantial portion of the game to unlock them (nearly the -entire- game for one), you also need to fulfill the unlock requirements, which are not made obvious and you cannot go back to try them again on failure without replaying the entire game up to that point once more b) all progression is per character, and painfully slow. You pretty much need to play through the full game to have an unlocked build. However, that doesn't really matter because c) the game doesn't really have drop-in, drop-out multiplayer. You start the game with a group and by Jove, you'll finish it with that group And unrelated to the multiplayer, the game's difficulty is very uneven, and most of the time clearing a difficult section will have you breathing a sigh of relief you're done with it, rather than excitement at your achievement. Having finished it once, I have now unlocked the character I -wanted- to play the game with... but I've no interest in actually doing so now. Not only is the game itself not fun enough, there's really no reason to do so, finishing the game doesn't unlock anything that would make it worth a revisit.

Perfect to play with your brother / sister / friend / girlfriend / boyfriend. Beautiful graphics and music. Its strong point is the combination of spells from both your partner and the enemies.

I bought it for graphics and magic and was not disappointed! This is dungeon crawler game, and definitely isn't an easy game, even on easy difficulty... I'm usually character costumization person, and was little bit disappointed when I found there's isn't an one, but it's still quite fun!
