Night in the Woods: Weird Autumn Edition

I was stuck within the first few scenes where I could not manage to make the three jumps. I read how to do it and tried over and over, but never got anywhere. It even took about 20+ goes to reach the first platform. There was no way round this obstacle so I had to give up and delete the game. I notice the reviews mention how this game deals with social issues and how people treat other people. Ironic that the authors of this game see fit to frustrate and humiliate potential players and make it unable for them to do anything with the game if they cannot manage to use the keyboard and mouse at the same time easily enough to get through an obstacle. They could easily have provided another way to enter into the game, but no, it is better to make people feel bad about themselves and force them to abort the game before they have even started it properly. I will never ever consider getting another game from these people.

(I played the game on Steam, if you're wondering why I don't own it here.) I bought this game expecting a marvelously written exploration based adventure game after seeing all the reviews, so I excitedly bought it and jumped into it. My love for the previous two supplement games really helped to hype me up as well. At the start, I was absolutely enchanted by the excellent art style and great soundtrack, but sadly, that's where my admiration for this game came to a grinding halt. The characters did not speak to me at all (I don't hang out with Tumblr degenerates) and the highly praised dialogue wasn't great as well. It did not really feel human at all. The story was mediocre at best and the ending really left a bitter taste in my mouth. Overall, this game was one of the biggest dissapointments I have ever played. I tried to love this game, but I couldn't.

All aspects of these game are overshadowed by heavy-handed assertions of left-wing antifa political idealogy ranging from "pansexuals" to antifa slogans. Regards of the story, the artwork or anything else, for anyone who is right or independent or even a traditional liberal, constantly being lectured to and having a miniority political opinion shoved down your throat really takes you out of the game. I guess the bottomline is that if you are an SJW you will probably like these elements and if you are not a SJW, you will probably not like it and will make it hard to disconnect from work/life and enjoy this game as an escape from the daily grind.
