Neversong

Had a good time with this one, platforming was fun and fair most of the time (one puzzle took me 7 tries, that was the longest one in my entire playthrough). There are some hidden card collectibles and post game content, but this is for the most part a single playthrough kind of game. Only knock is the story, which is a bit convoluted for what it's trying to tell. Issues with time and setting (supposedly in the 50s/60s, but one character talks about PARKOUR?). Also the last boss was a bit tougher than anticipated given the boss trajectory from the first couple. That made that last encounter a bit less fun than the others, so that's something to be aware of going in.

I don't have a controller and know that one is "recommended". That said, the game doesn't seem to have ANY keyboard functionality at all, and no documentation. This makes it unplayable for me.

Neversong is a beautiful, dark tale of a boy stuck in a coma and is trying to wake up to save his friend.

Fun and pretty bite-sized metroidvania. It is a good starting point for people new to this important sub-genre.

action platformer, not much more to say about it, is a laid back game, with a grim story, but is not scary or hard, the worst sin of the game is that language cannot be changed, and let me tell you, the spanish translation is sloppy at best, a middle of the road review for a middle of the road game
