Description
Nehrim: At Fate's Edge (the predecessor of Enderal: Forgotten Stories) is an total conversion for TES IV: Oblivion. Explore the eponymous land of Nehrim and its dense forests and deserts, delve into ancient crypts and labyrinthine caves, and experience an unconventional, gripping storyline that unfolds beyond known patterns of good and evil.



How extensive is the world space and how has it been created?
The land mass approximately equals the one of Oblivion. However, in Nehrim the landscape is entirely hand-built and thus has a lot more variety in it than those forests in Oblivion.

How long will it take me to beat the game?
As opposed to Oblivion, the Main Quest, including 35 single quests, is to the fore in Nehrim. Our Main Quest isn't just much more intense than Oblivion's, but also more extensive. You can beat Oblivion in about 10 hours. This most definitely will not be possible in Nehrim. Additionally, there will be about 30 side quests.

What is the most profound difference to Oblivion?
The skill system. In Nehrim, you level up by gaining experience points. You gain experience points by killing monsters and most of all for finishing quests. This is the best way to motivate the player to play them. At each level-up you get "learning points" you can trade for skill upgrades at a teacher - just as in the Gothic series.

Very Fun I reccomend

Oblivion But with Cooler weapons and a Grand Narrative. 10/10 wish it were more stable.

Nehrim Crashim Sfaccimm

Nehrim rhimes with sfaccimm (google what it means in neapolitan dialect). The fact that this mod is a huge project and could have been a potentially great standalone game is what makes it infuriating. Because right now it's a buggy mess: CTDs every minute, you enter a new area? ctd, you equip an item? ctd. you read Nixon's biography in reverse while sitted on a cactus? ctd. OMG, i had the patience for 80+ hours but then I had enough for the post ending missions (like, i could have understand a bonus mission, but was it necessary to "dilute the broth"? (as we say in Italy to express a thing that's uselessly lenghtened). Don't get me wrong, this mod gets a lot of things right, but the amount of CTD, buggy quests that you can't complete without the use of console commands (or can't complete at all like the shoes one), plus the inability to fast travel (and no, there are no excuses, EVERY SINGLE ONE open world RPG has it for a simple reason, not to make players fall asleep wallking the same path back and forth several times (we have real life jobs for that you know...). I can't give this game more than 2/5 stars, would have been made in a decent game engine that isn't badly optimized, ctd ridden or a buggy mess, it would be a 8-9/10 game easily but right now i can only recommend it to patient Oblivion fans.

Good game add on to main

Good game dont like german dialogue even with english subtitles and game has a habit of crashing and freezing suggest you quick save often,but apart from above its worth playing !!

Better Use of the Creation Engine

I started off as a mage with only one spell--healing. Had to use a pickaxe to fight, and an old bow. Took about five hours before I learned my first offensive spell, but worth the wait. Better graphics than Oblivion, with water shaders, item reflections--trees, actors, et al. Played on my Samsung with an HDMI cable, but game crashes too often. First crash since no external monitor--more than five hours. Screen tearing with a monitor. Inventory scrolls left to right, but not up and down--annoying! Using NorthernUI for joystick controls, a bit rough, but that's not the game's fault. Fast travel doesn't work, but teleportation does, with teleport stones--acceptable, I'm cloning them anyway. Beautiful music! All actors are German, but text is in English. No cheesing the level system, so be it, enjoying the game regardless.
