Copies of cartridges are flying off physical shelves worldwide. Within weeks Narita Boy is the best-selling video game of all time, critically acclaimed for its power-fantasy wielding the Techno-sword and taking players on a journey like no other.
Meanwhile, inside the binary code, the digital realm connects with reality. Him has returned and deleted The Creator’s memories. Supervisor program, Motherboard, and her agents have activated the Narita Boy protocol.

Not my cup of tea......
It's stylish for sure, and surreal, maybe too surreal as sometimes it comes across as a big pile of Matrixesqe hooey. But it's a platformer. And a difficult, awkward and frustrating one at that. Such games are not my thing. But if they are yours then go for it. I only acquired it due to it being on a free offer. I'd never pay for a game like this in a million. Especially not £20! It is NOT worth that. It has it's qualities for sure, but they are sadly lost on me. Hardcore platformer fans only need apply.

All style, little substance...
What starts as a charming little retro pixel art game quickly falls apart due to seemingly endless walls of text and a drip-fed tutorial style. The music is great, but for the first 30 minutes it felt like the same song was on loop. The game gives you objectives, but without a map—and if you’re not paying close attention to the text thrown at you—they mean nothing. Deaths feel meaningless, the controls are floaty and inconsistent. I saw this game becoming frustrating, so after 30 minutes, I called it quits.
