Decent crafting life sim

I don't own the GOG version, though by now the patching issues should be done. Despite the name, you aren't much of a builder - this plays a lot more like, say, Stardew Valley, or a Rune Factory game. You only craft items insomuch as they suit your purposes to fulfill requests, that's it. Alas, you don't do ANY actual building a la sandbox games; structures on your predefined plot are all bartered for through a 3rd party. That said, you'd probably notice there haven't been too many RF style games, making this a very welcome entry. The NPCs are charming enough and the storyline long enough to hold your attention for at least 1 playthrough. It plays pretty much like those games: as mentioned, you don't actually construct anything, you're more of a crafter than a builder, and you craft stuff mostly to fill requests or gift to NPCs in order to befriend/romance them. Taken on their own, each feature by itself feels shallow. The inconsistent (and random!) way you're awarded some designs while others are automatically attached to a request can be confusing and annoying. NPC chatter is limited. However the game has enough moving parts for you to flit from one to another to keep you occupied until you finally have enough. If you're looking for something to fill that Rune Factory shaped void, this should fit nicely. It's not a great example of the genre, but it has its highlights. It's lack of depth, balance issues, and other flaws drag it down from being a great game, but overall it does ok. Recommended if you're a genre fan.

Good Budget Title

Fun casual game, the graphics and designs are cute, the building is fun, it reminds me a lot of the latter 3d Harvest moon games for the wii and gamecube. If you liked those this is better, has more options, more crops more everything. It is a bit rough around the edges, but that's normal for a smaller budget game but my five stars are grading on a curve.

So far, not for me...

Picked this game up since I'm a huge Harvest Moon fan, and I enjoyed Stardew Valley decently, this game is much more focused on crafting than anything else, which is fine, but not really what I wanted, and about 6 hours in I'm personally very bored. The voice acting ranges from okay to terrible, voice actors sound like they didn't even record their lines in the same environment and audio quality is very noticable between each of them. Thankfully, you can mute voices. The music, so far, is very generic and I've heard about 3 tracks in 6 hours, I've muted it and will unmute if I make it to further seasons and whatnot, but so far, compared to HM or SV, yikes. The villagers have been underwhelming to me so far, but it could be they just need some time to develop. There is no consequences for anything, dying has no consequence, staying up till 3 am has no consequence, and whilst that may appear to some, I don't really like it. The crafting has some things I don't like, and some I like. When using your crafting stations (which there are tons of) items are automatically picked from your chests. Nice! However, when you build a new crafting station, the game requires you to have every item on your quickbar, and manually place them on a ghostly display of the crafting station. Just why? You make half the crafting decently convenient and the other half pointlessly time consuming. The game also feels like it lacks polish, everything feels floating, there's barely any ambient noises, the mining (and you'll mine a lot) feels jank, the combat is not too satisfying as all weapons feel the same and have no real impact, speaking of the fighting, everything so far has been laughably easy, mayhaps it will change later on. I'm aware these kind of games can be slow to pick up, but so far, I'm not having fun, so if you like the more farming aspect of HM or SoS or SV, I'd skip this one. P.S. This is all opinion based and is by no mean an attack to the people who enjoy this game.

Lovely game

Was a bit surprised to see how well crafted and fun this game is. Has me hooked so far at about 30 hours in.

I've had fun with this one.

A fun a little game, and I like buying them here rather than Steam whenever possible to support the devs minus the DRM. The game works fine by this point and I'm having a lot of fun playing through it thus far!
