Mount & Blade: Warband - Viking Conquest Reforged Edition

The game is pretty good. I believe the viking conquest setting is where Mount & Blade mechanics fits best. Story is naive, but entertaining. However, the game is so buggy (Mac OS X). I advanced quite far along the story regardless the regular crashes (had to save often). However, I just can't pass the Douar-an-Enez quest. There is 2 staged battle: sea first, land fight then. I have tried multiple times, but as soon as land part starts the game starts glitch and eventually crashes. Very unfortunate :(

This is a great DLC to Mount and Blade which improves the graphics tremendously. It also has even better music than the original game. But it is not without bugs and dogs look just outright hilarious because of their unsyncronized leg movements. This game is highly recommended to any M&B lover and is surely worth its cost.

This is a pretty old game and it shows, but I guess that nobody's buying it today and expecting top-of-the-line graphics - I wasn't. Once you get into it, it is really easy to lose track of time and to launch in a full-on exploration of viking age Bryten... Until you get tired of restarting the game: it is PLAGUED by CONSTANT bugs. Like, having to relaunch the game every 10 minutes bugs. Add to that the vintage and quite tiring UX and that was it for me: I uninstalled it after 2 or 3 days and way too much lost time, and would have gladly stomped on the game box in blind rage if it came with one. But it's a shame because I've rarely seen such a rich and detailed rendition of the Viking era and I really wanted to love this game :-(

I really love the game with this DLC. The story, combat, new equipment and game mechanics are mostly very enjoyable. Unfortunately the game regularly produces a black screen glitch where I am unable to save. Crashes are also much to common for the overall experience be enjoyable.

I have been playing the latest version (1.04) of Viking Conquest and, although it is a HUGE improvement from the initial release, it still suffers from stability, bugs, and performance issues. The DLC is almost unplayable due to frequent crashes. This DLC has a lot of potential, and is fun when it works, but still has issues that need to be fixed. Hopefully future patches will improve the DLC. Good -New features such as wounds, stamina, formations, and ships. -Well researched and historically accurate -VIKINGS!!!!!! Bad -Frequent crashes and performance issues -Graphics not as good as Warband. Textures and colors look off. People look bulky and out of proportion. World map looks bad. -Story mode not playable due to crashes/bugs. -No option to disable death cam. -No options to Meet the Mayor/Local leader/Guild Master As of now, DLC is not worth playing. I have recently went back to playing native Warband (currently a much better game). There are also plenty of free mods which are much better than this DLC.
