Well Worth The Wait!

I have been waiting 8 long years to play this game, and I can safely say that it did not disappoint! You can immediately tell that the developers put their heart and soul into this game, and it clearly has a lot of potential to become the best game in the franchise. There are only a few minor issues that I've been having with the game so far, so I'll do my best to summarize these problems. #1. The viewing angles on the map aren't quite perfected. I rather enjoyed how the original Mount and Blade used the mouse to turn the map in a left/right when you moved it to the edge of the screen, but this version requires you to right click while you turn the mouse, which isn't great. #2. I think the viewing angles also cause a bit of an issue during battles as well. Combat on the ground is just as good as the original games, but it's a bit lacking on horseback. I find it much more difficult to attack enemies on horseback, but perhaps this will change as my character levels up. #3. I miss the simplicity from past games in the series. I applaud the developers for upgrading the leveling system and adding so many new features, but I can't help thinking that less is more. I'm trying to take it slow, but it feels like I'm not quite understanding all of the new features. That being said, there's no way that I could rate this game less than 5 stars. It has far too much potential to be any lower, and I look forward to see how the game develops over the coming years!

A Good Game in it's own right

While the developers decided not to create a co-op campaign experience. It does have some co-op like multiplayer game modes. It's all still very much PvP, but one of my favorite multiplayer modes has you leading a band of guys along with 3 or 4 (something like that) bands of teammates against enemy bands. It's a very fun game mode, but you really feel the hurt when you're going up against veteran players. I.E. teams that work together and know what they're doing. Even then, some factions are just plain better than others. It's one of those hard to balance things and hopefully they've continued to work on that. I played some of the campaign, but it was Early Access when I played and they were releasing massive updates. Thus, I with a 300GB data cap (at the time), decided to wait for it to get to full release. Now, it's full release and it's on GOG. I'll have to get it here when I have some free cash to blow. It's definitely a game I want in my more permanent Game Collection. While this could be viewed as an eye candy update to Warband. It has some features and niceties that set it apart from the much older games in the franchise.

So much potential

Feudalism sandbox is good way to describe this game. My main complaint is that end game is annoying and boring, but until that it can be really fun and frustrating at the same time. When you are finalizing the main quest, the last enemy you have to destroy is probably the most annoying quest I have ever had in any game I have ever played. They recruited more folks to their tribes faster than I could find them, my parties and other kingdom members were completely useless as they couldn't catch these 1-15 people groups, so I had to hunt them down. Of course, unless you have all the correct perks they start to escape very quickly, and if you chop the down, they recruit more people. One clan had like 4 rows of members by the time I had finally caught last 5 and chopped them at the same time.

Realistic mode is not realistic at all

Every1 focuses you, even when the fight is 1000 vs 10, the 10 will focus you instead of trying to save their asses

This game is absolutely amazing.

For a long time I couldn't get into any game and just kept buying them to fill the void but this one is just so addicting and I say 1 more fight, 1 more quest, etc, and I haven't even scratched the surface of this yet. There are some things like I think I get a hit in but it doesn't register or i'm missing my hits and some derpy Ai occasionally but nothing to bad just needs some bug fixes that need to be ironed out and I hope the devs continue to work on this masterpiece
