Mount & Blade

Initially I did not like this game. It seemed to have very little substance. But after putting a little work into it I found out how wrong I was. It is currently my favourite game. The lack of story is not an issue for me. I have become the story. In this computer generated world, you have no more special status than all the NPG. And they (the AI) seem to be quite clever. You have to fight for every inch of recognition. Bravo TaleWorlds!

I genuinely admire the effort the team put into this game. There are lots of cool ideas here, but sadly, the end result is awkward and clunky at best, boring and hollow at worst. The whole stuff feels like an alpha build, to be completely honest. The quest system is painful, making any meaningful progress is nerve-crackingly slow, and let's not talk about the Benny Hill chasing scene generator world map. Later entries may be more polished, and I think I can understand if someone can overlook the problems here. Personally, I regretted all those couple of hours I invested into trying to enjoy this game.

It has very very poor graphics but it's a wonderful medieval battle simulator By the way Warband is even more realistic, adds lots of choices and fixes a lot of bugs. Can't wait for M&B II

INSANE EPIC BATTLES

An amazing game. Medieval RPG where you write your own story and take responsibility for your actions. Though I'd recommend M&B: Warband instead, since it's basically the original but with more factions, a better looking map and a multiplayer option. So if you're interested in M&B, buy Mount and Blade: Warband for an even greater experience.
