Mortal Shell

For a long time, I had a lot of problems with combat and died many, many times. Eventually I caught wind on how to fight, and the game became better do-able. You need to move a lot, and primarily avoid getting hit! The atmosphere is really grim (which is fitting), and the combat is cool. Despite the fairly short gameplay, I think that there is a bit too much walking in the game (Eternal Narthex area especially!), and a map would not be a luxury. I've beat the game multiple times. The hardening mechanic can no longer be exploited after you've beat the game, because you start losing health if you're hit while hardened. Despite many frustrations because of me dying, I think it's a cool game. There is replayability, but that wears off after completing the game 7 times. Btw: the Martyr was my first boss! The only thing I would really like to add is that I would have liked better instructions on what to do etc. Took some time to find out how to become 'good' at the game.

I think this might be harder than Dark Souls

This game is way too hard. It makes sense that the average gametime is so short.

The game has great potential but: - Too many trash mobs - You don’t really know what you’re supposed to do, so you just end up randomly killing everything you see - The bosses aren’t memorable—I honestly don’t even remember any of the ones I defeated - No healing potions, and you can’t craft them; the only way to heal is by waiting for some weird mushrooms to respawn On the positive side: + I really like the mechanic where corpses change the player's stats + The banjo adds a nice touch Good potential, but it’s hampered by too many trash mobs and a lack of clear objectives.
