Mortal Kombat 4

Its a very good port, to use en pc

It plays very fluidly, has no ridiculously long load times and is very responsive. I just wish they didn't straight up hide the options menu behind F2.

I understand this is not considered very highly by either the classic mortal kombat, 3d era or the modern era. But, this game was my introduction to the Mortal Kombat series via playstation 1 in gaming cafes back in 1999 where I stay and love it to bits. I regret not buying this for the PC (big box version ) back in 2003. I kinda regret that now but appreciate GOG keeping this alive and obtainable.

...which is also the first one I had played out of the MK saga. But time has passed, and I must admit that 5 stars was too much for MK4 (not even gold edition, which GOG still haven't realised), but its technical ingenuities (it was the first one ''3D''), for its time, are not to be discarded so easily. 3D, but not really (the very ''first'' one would be the one after, the acclaimed Deadly Alliance), MK4 finds itself in a ''weird'' spot, between the rigid but fun gameplay of the first trilogy (not the game, I mean the actually 3...4...5 ''arcade'' games) and the nuances of the MK that would follow. Still, and perhaps even so for its uniqueness, deserves to be at least tried once by fans, and even not so much. Simply put, simple, but extremely fun! P.S. Plus, this is the game where I found my main (BOI) Quan chi! and the best announcer out of the entire MK saga!

So your options are: 1. Use the analog stick of your controller 2. Use your keyboard 3. Try out different methods to make the d-pad work If you're fine with that, then go for it. Works out of the box on Windows 10.
