Moonstone Island is a creature-collecting life-sim set in an open world with 100 islands to explore. Make friends, brew potions, collect Spirits, and test your strength in card-based encounters to complete your Alchemy training!

Spend time on islands in the sky!

Following your village's tradition, you must move to an island in the sky to complete your Alchemy training. Armed with a team of nature spirits, magical potions, and the support of your new friends, you'll explore ancient temples, dangerous dungeons, and hostile biomes to uncover the dark secret of Moonstone Island. 


 


 
 

  • Befriend NPCs, become a member of the community, go on dates, and fall in love 
     
  • Build a new home on any of the 100 islands in your procedurally generated world 
     
  • Grow crops and flowers to brew potions and tame spirits 
     
  • Customize and decorate your home to make it uniquely yours



 
 

  • Travel by balloon, broom, and glider through unique biomes to reach the outer edges of the world 
     
  • Tame and befriend wild spirits to fight alongside you

Moonstone Island refreshes my love for games like Stardew Valley and Pokémon, but still exerts its own unique identity. But sometimes with an amalgamation of genres, the details can get a little blurry, and there are certain aspects that sour the experience. Overall though, this was, and continues to be, a very adorable and compelling game.

Moonstone Island's world is a feast for the eyes, offering stunning pixelated visuals reminiscent of the world of Studio Ghibli. It does an amazing job fusing together Stardew Valley aspects with the likes of Pokémon and its new-age retro style compliments the game well. With the art and gameplay comes the unique and strategic deck-building battle system that is arguably the most distinguishing factor of Moonstone Island. Despite the bugs, Moonstone Island is a perfect game for those who enjoy a farm-and-fight adventure with a unique spin on combat!

My new gaming addiction

When I describe the game to my friends, I always say it's like a lovechild from Pokemon and Stardew Valley mixed with deck building mechanics for the fights. It creates its very own niche and it does this amazingly. I am very addicted exploring the world, hunting spirits and getting to know the NPCs. Moonstone Island perfectly keeps your brain in the "just one more thing to do" loop. Unfortunately there are still some bugs, but the developers are eager to fix them and are super friendly people. If I could I would add more quests for the long run and make the NPCs more complex, but I love the game already as it is and these things would just be the cherry on top.
