Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae

Bansai! Bonsa! Hajimeeeee! ... also... Pantsu!!! Pros: Main character is hot. Cons: The game is cheap like a pair of Chinese chopsticks. Only one enemy model, differs only with colors, cheap animations (multiple hit enemies move in sync, which looks ridiculous), some depth to the fighting system, but not enough to be interesting. Also, omnidirectional static parry. Also, no story, no level variety, just endless "waves" you fight until you fall asleep. Not recommended. 2 stars because I did not see any bugs.

This game was fun. It's short and looks really cheaply made but after facing the first boss you will have trouble putting it down I beat it in 1 hour and 23 mins on easy I don't know if a higher difficulty would add replay value to it but even on easy mode the Sword Boss is pretty tough. If you are a seasoned hack and slash player this might not do it for you if you are a nube like myself you probably will enjoy it like I did I recommend getting it on sale if you can though I don't think an hour and 23 mins is worth 5.99 or over.

One of my absolute least favorite games I own. The first 20 mins of the game plays exactly the same through out the entirety of it's playtime. IF you want an anime 3rd person fighter, get a game from the Senran Kagura series. Or get Bayonetta. Just avoid this game.

Think a 3d fighter, with single player only, where you wield a sword and some magic abilities (not the projectile type you normally expect from the term magic). You can attack, dodge, charge up some super homing ability, right off the bat. Just trying it out, i got the Ninja Gaiden impression, but the entire game is in a slightly changing arena. I've been looking for another game like this for a while to help me deal with my slow reaction speeds, and this makes a great trainer for that. I kinda wish there was some way to fix not being able to see all the enemies at the same time or some kind of mode to pick one opponent and lock a camera on him or something to isolate things a little. Most of the time you really do seem to be much better off spamming until you can get to a boss that you can fight 1-on-1. Not to say that the minor enemies are overwhelmingly hard or anything, but it gives the game a mashy feel that it doesn't need. I'm hoping to see more titles like this in the future, but with smarter AI and more control over the overall situation.

This, along with Astebreed, is a game where I literally made it to the last level without ever having a clue of what I was doing. You can seriously make it to the end just by mashing buttons. Then at the endboss you die a lot because you have no clue what you're doing because the game did such a terrible job of conveying to the player what you need to do to actually get good. Not that you would want to get good at this anyway. It's boring. Once you've beaten the first 3 or 4 levels, you've seen all this game has to offer. Bland, flat, Virtua Fighter 2 looking levels, and bland, generic enemies. OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER, again. We have Dynasty Warriors for that, son! In fact, at least DW has amusing characters and moves. Save your time and money on this one. The only things you'll get out of it are sore, red eyes and a couple of tired, athritic thumbs.
