Deep in a fjord, a girl and her bovine,
Western Norway, nineteen-twenty-nine.
This is a story from Calf Ledge,
a small farm perched on a mountain edge.
It's 1920's Norway, and you play as Ruth, a young woman who lives alone on a remote farm at the end of a faraway fjord. You take care of your cows and make delicious dairy products that your friend sells in the closest town. But the dairy business is not going so well, and life on the farm is lonesome and hard. And at nights mysterious things keep happening to Ruth and her cows, making Ruth wonder: Is this the life she wants?
Then one day a giant, golden ship descends from the sky, forcing Ruth out on a journey that will change her life.
Milkmaid of the Milky Way is a story about moving into the unknown, breaking free from the past, it's a story about age, life, death and time - but most of all it's a story about finding your own place in the universe.

I loved it! It was cute with the rhymes all around creating a unique and charismatic atmosphere. The music fits very well with the rest of the art and it makes you forgive that the visual art isn't that developed . Done by a single person it is simply impressive. I hope he makes more point and click games in the future. Well done!
This is an amazing play experience for any Point'n'Click enthusiasts. The story is good, the art is amazing, the music and feel is just perfect. If you loved any game from Monkey Island to Grim Fandango or Broken Sword, you will adore this.
Tiny, cute, good & pure. Better than any movie you could watch in the same time span.
Milkmaid of the Milky Way is a fun and short point n click adventure, giving you exactly what it promises.
You play as Ruth, a milkmaid whose cows gets abducted by aliens. Determined to save your cows, you end up on an alien spacecraft. As you continue to explore, the story unfolds. It's well-written and keeps you interested in wanting to see the conclusion. The gameplay is simple point n click, you pick up items and you interact with the environment. But more isn't needed for this game, it does perfectly what it's supposed to. It's a good modern title in the genre, not being too edgy or too illogical with its puzzles.
I recommend this game for both hardcore fans and newcomers to the point n click genre. I'm also definitely interested in trying other the developer's latest title.
What this game lacks in size it more than enough makes up for in character. It's a very well crafted game that more than once made me recall playing Sierra classics like King's Quest and Space Quest. Only that the humour here is of a more subtle kind which I think works very well. The art style complements the story in that it's a beautiful and melancholic scifi yarn. Also, the soundtrack is amazing!
A warmly recommended point-and-click adventure!
Graphically and musically it’s pleasant, but a few things let the experience down for me (basically everything else that makes a game). I got this for £1.49 on sale and I still feel it was a waste – I would avoid this and am surprised at the 5 star reviews.
The decision to make every line rhyme just isn’t for me. I found the dialogue/narrative cringeworthy and frustrating. It got so exhausting reading it I ended up skipping things because it was rarely (if ever) entertaining or informative.
Coupled with that, it’s just a dull experience – okay, it’s a point and click game, I’m not expecting wild action, but how many daily chores do I need to do before something happens. Some sort of story or motivation would have been nice, it felt like it never really got going and is only about 3 hours long.
Almost immediately you get nonsense item physics, for example – a tiny item about the size of your finger is now being used as a handle that’s longer than your forearm. As the game goes on the puzzles become more illogical and item use is impractical/nonsensical.
