Wonderful game
Just a good hack-n-slash RPG set in the LotR world (Arda). A joy to play.

Near flawless game!
This has the insanely addictive combat that makes the arkham games great, in the best setting in fantasy. The environment is a bit lackluster in that it's pretty much the same muddy depressing environment the whole way through. Despite the nemesis system giving the captains you fight good variety, you are essentially fighting a half dozen enemy types the entire game other than the captains and bosses. The performance is obviously fantastic given the games age it will run flawlessly on any modern system, the colours seem a bit off no matter what I set the gamma to but that could just be me. I recommend playing this before playing shadow of war; 1. For the story continuity. 2. The game will simply feel a lot clunkier to you if you have played the much improved sequel, and might make it harder for you to enjoy this one for what it is. This is worth every penny even near modern full price, buy it if you liked the arkham games, buy it if you love Lord of The Rings, buy it if you like action-rpg games, or buy it if you want to turn off your brain and go hunting collectables Ubisoft style and slice through dozens of orcs per second.
