another boring fps?
first you NEED to paly the first part before playing last light. 2nd. when i got the first part fro ma friend time ago, i really didn't want to play it. too many boring shooters out there and not even my favorite genre (prefer fallout 3 like games). finally gave it a try..and i was kinda right...levels are very straightforward, not only the udnergroudn level. should you look up now to check if i really gave 5 stars for this.. YES I DID the two metro games were some of the most intense fun i ever had. the storytelling, the story itself and the atmosphere are unparalleled to almost every other game i know. the second game loses a bit of that survival athmosphere but only compared to part one it is still a great and impressive game. But the story goes straight from part one continued in part two, and very greatly so. so my advice, get both games. you won't regret it.

Solid campaign but poor stability of the game
This game is the continuation of Metro 2033. And it is also taking inspiration from the second novel. After the redux treatment, moving from the first game to the second will be transparent. All the mechanics are the same. BUT you finally got an introduction on how to use the clock and lighter. You got new weapons, and one different type of bomb. And probably a better stealth option where you can do non-lethal takedowns. Similar to the previous redux game. You can adapt your experience to the original survival/stealth concept or be more like a Rambo/spartan, those setting will impact on how much ammo you can get. The enemies react well, and the interface is a little bizarre as it is aimed at a certain degree of survivance realism. Harder settings will reduce the UI or even remove it completely. The design of the levels is good. Some of them offer alternative routes for the stealth approaches. The characters are still feeling a little plastic, on particular when you are very near them. However, this was also true in the first game. This time, the game will go deeper developing three of the previous fashions established on the previous game. The history therefore will be a little more complex than on the previous entry. Additional to the main campaign now we have DLCs. But frankly most of them arre irrelevant. Now, my big issue is that while the campaign experience is very solid, the stability of the game is not. You will have either two experiences: Zero crashes or constant crashes without depending on your hardware. The crashes can even happen on the loading screen, and if this happens to you, you will be forced to restart the level from zero as the only save slot is now corrupt.

Meh...
The game is rather....medicore? Aside from the bugs (DISABLE ADVANCED PHYSICS IF YOU ARE CRASHING), the story and the way it was presented wasn't really worth it the cash I spent on the game (purchaserd with a 75% discount).
