Description

It is the year 2034. Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within. Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above.

But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever. As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…

Product Overview:
Metro: Last Light Redux is the definitive version of the critically acclaimed ‘Metro: Last Light’, rebuilt in the latest and greatest iteration of the 4A Engine for Next Gen. Newcomers will get the chance to experience one of the finest story-driven shooters of all time; an epic adventure combining gripping survival horror, exploration and tactical combat and stealth.

This definitive version also includes all previously released DLC, adding 10 hours of bonus single-player content to the huge solo campaign. Fans of the original game will notice new features and gameplay improvements, including new melee animations, the ability to check your watch and ammo supplies on the fly, and new full-body player animations.

And those who favoured the more survival-horror oriented gameplay of the cult prequel ‘Metro 2033’ will find a new way to experience the campaign thanks to the introduction of two unique Play Styles – Survival and Spartan. The former transforms Last light from a more action-oriented stealth combat experience to a fraught, slow burn fight for survival. With the legendary Ranger Mode included to offer an extra layer of challenge and immersion, Metro: Last Light Redux offers hours of AAA gameplay for an incredible price.

Based on the internationally bestselling novel series by Dmitry Glukhovsky
  • Immerse yourself in the Moscow Metro - witness one of the most atmospheric worlds in gaming brought to life with stunning next-gen visuals

  • Rebuilt and Remastered for next-gen - with all previous DLC content included, new modes and features, and many gameplay improvement, this is the definitive version of the critically acclaimed classic that fans and newcomers alike will enjoy
  • Two unique Play Styles : "Spartan" and "Survival" - approach the game as a slow burn Survival Horror, or tackle it with the combat skills of a Spartan Ranger in these two unique modes
  • The legendary Ranger Mode returns - dare you play the fearsome Ranger Mode? No HUD, UI, deadlier combat and limited resources combine to create the ultimate immersive experience

QTE Cutscene Simulator 2

Do you hate playing games? Tired of all that action? Wish you could just do all the boring bits? Do you wish you could just sit back and watch while one of the developers takes care of all that pesky gameplay for you? Do you wish you could watch a movie that makes you press a button every now and again to keep the action going? You do? Then this is your lucky day, friend, because QTE Cutscene Simulator 2 has all the watch-someone-else-play "excitement" you could possibly want. Seriously, all three of the Metro games really pissed me off. I just couldn't get on with them. It's really jarring how the game keeps taking control from you and forcing you to sit through overly-long scripted in-engine scenes. It's like a terrible theme park ride. I know these games are popular, but I just don't get it.

Great story-driven FPS with stealth and survival elements. This game continues first Metro's story while improving and expanding on everything done well in Metro 2035. There are some glitches and a few bugs, but nothing too much noticeable or game breaking. Worst I had, was to restart one chapter, after autosave stuck on the crash to the desktop. I can wholly recommend this game for the fans of the first part!!

One of the best post-apo experience !

Logical sequel to 2033, and still one of the best first-person post-apocalyptic immersion experience to this day. Unique ruined-russia landscapes, even better than Stalker's, good shooting sensations with nice looking built-from-scratch weapons, and a well-written serious story that reminds us that war never changes ;-). Though totally linear, it's that kind of game which makes you feel like it's worth your money and your time. You like FPS, post-apo, total immersion? Just buy it and play it in the dark, you won't regret it. Notice that it requires a powerful system to run perfectly.

Ready to save the Dark Ones?

Metro Last Light is a benchmark when it comes to the post-apocalypse, for good reason. Enemy variety is pretty wide, with everything from neo-Nazis underground to bears above ground. Most enemies are mutated, and more than willing to separate your head from your body, so keep the magazine full at all times. Speaking of magazines, Metro uses the ammo you own (military-spec ammo, that is) as the currency. With it, you can purchase ammo produced in the Metro, upgrade and purchase weapons, and refill supplies such as first-aid kits and gas mask filters (keep both topped up, seriously). While possible to avoid using it, at some point you will run out of cheap ammo and have to use the expensive stuff, so maintaining trigger discipline is a must. This in mind, using stealth kills and throwing knives, it's possible to cut down on ammo usage. You have an indicator on your watch which lights up when you can be seen, so keeping that light off is of utmost importance (similar to the Thief games). Storywise, this game builds off the events of 2033 so if you played this first (like I did), it can be a little confusing with some of the things that happen. The campaign is very linear, occuring mostly in corridor after corridor. With that said, wander off the beaten path and find rewards such as ammo, filters, and journal entries (it's the apocalypse. How else would you get your feelings out?) Atmosphere is something that can make or break a game such as this, requiring the ability to unsettle with nothing going on. This game achieves it with a sense of creeping dread, especially above ground, that can and will leave you on edge. The remains of Moscow are barren, with remnants of the past popping up continually and really driving up the level of paranoia. You never quite know what is waiting around the corner, so don't relax too soon. Overall, Metro Last Light is one of my favorite games of the 2010s (and since I hate horror, that's something) and I would totally recommend it.

Enhancements in gaming experience

There hasn't been much improvement in image quality and model details, and a lot of effort has been put into the plot performance. Some large scenes have been added for players to explore and play, and several of them can clearly feel the battle performance of "Oh, this is boss battle" and have done well, The plot also gave the first protagonist a very good ending
