METAL SLUG 3

Overall its a the best of the MS ports. It has lot of valuable options (resolutions, online and ranking), the game itself is the longest one (loooooong Mission 5 awaits), various ennemies & world, the most pleasant to watch but its also the most challenging.Tough Bosses with huge heal points. So close of 5 stars because in some moments there is some ... drop of frame per seconds (around 20-30 fps ? BUT FAR LESS THAN EPISODE Metal Slug 1 & X !!!). Kinda shame when you consider that this is a game who needs all of your skills and the port makes those moments "bullet timish". Also there's a frame bug at the bottom of the screen during the final boss phase.

The game just as amazing as I remember. And not only that, but the game runs great too. I love the game. The Good The graphics are great. As with the entire series up to this point, the pixel art has been absolutely amazing. Great set pieces and levels The new enemies were cool like the giant crab things. There are tons of vehicles that you can use. The game is easy and you can infinitely respawn. You can turn on auto fire in the menus. You can also turn off the video filter in the options menu. You can use online multiplayer to play the game. Though I have never tried online multiplayer, I have played this game locally with my brother and it was great. There’s a gallery mode which was nice. I don’t know how to get more pictures though. I think beating the other modes would get more pictures but honestly, I’m not interested in playing this game on hard mode, even if I have infinity lives. I haven’t ever mentioned this but, ever since metal slug 2, I believe, there have been different paths. So, for one playthrough, you could go up and you’d see different levels compared to going below. I thought that was really cool and just shows how much work they put into this one. The game runs good. You can change key bindings. The Bad The game can’t be recorded in fullscreen mode. Tabbing out of the game messes with other windows by enlarging them. There isn’t any story here with dialogue where we can learn about the characters and care for them. It’s just these people fighting some other people and things. The story in this game, for what it is, is alright though. Conclusion I think the game is a masterpiece. I think anyone who wants an action-packed game should play it. It’s a ton of fun. Anyways, metal slug 3 is a great game. There are so many scenes or levels that will be left in your mind, and that’s the sign of a good game.

Bought this to play with my girlfriend online because its our favorite game but we were tremendously disappointed. We choosed GOG because we wanted trust. But be wasn't able to play not even 5 minutes... the servers are extremly laggy. Creation of private rooms are not working, we only could enter a room creating in public mode, and even with that we had to make like 10 attemps to enter the room. and when we finally be able to play the game runs at 5fps, with constant disconnections. i dont get the point of buying this now because after that we went to a free games pages where we played Metal Slug 3 with 0 lag, loooot of better graphics (because this one looks like ps1 AV port) and with extremly easy room creating system. anyways, if anyone wants to buy this game for online, DONT DO IT. if you just want to play singleplayer its ok.

Just when you thought ‘Metal Slug’ could not get more outrageous after ‘Metal Slug 2’/’Metal Slug X’, SNK dialed it up to twelve with ‘Metal Slug 3’. On top of the four returning playable characters from ‘2’ and ‘X’, this game featured new weapons and vehicles/Slugs. You thought a camel with a mounted cannon in ‘2’ and ‘X’ was wild, how about an elephant, an ostrich, a submarine, a spaceship, and a drilling machine? Yeah! Yet, what really distinguished ‘Metal Slug 3’ from its predecessors was the introduction of alternate routes, which made this game highly replayable. Again, just when you thought the final battle against alien threat in ‘2’ and ‘X’ was surprising and thrilling, wait till you get a load of this game’s final mission! It’s not just epic…it’s absolutely bonkers! ‘Metal Slug 3’ is a must-buy for any fan of the series.

My favorite in the serires. Intense, full packaged with action, pretty long as for arcade specific title, have multiple ways to choose from. It's funny in a many places too. Very solid game in the series. It is kind of tricky to get working right without preformence drop. All you have to do is set up your resolution - set it high if you wish play sceenwide or set it low if you want to play among other apps. Do not turn full screen feature when you have set full hd res because THAT will cause preformence drop. Other than that - it is fantastic. I will ask my friends to play Metal Slug 3 with me, I will gift them this game. Net play is enjoyment in itself - as you might know of it.
