METAL GEAR SOLID

Good game. would suck kojimas peepee. shame that there seems to be a few bugs, that can be quite frustrating to deal with. For example the game, at least for me, wouldn't close properly, and would instead crash. If your controller disconnects for even a second, the game will have to be restarted- which, while annoying, wasn't a deal breaker, given the fact that the game takes about 5 seconds to restart. overall, i like it.

If you are a die-hard mouse user since Wolfenstein 3d, Catacomb Abyss, Daggerfall and so on, don't try playing it. I can adjust, but still, that control type make me feel so extremly limited compared to PC games of 1998, the release date of MGS, that it takes the fun out of it. Other than that: The port is decent, offers high resolutions (up 1600x1200, and preserves 4x3 ratio), the keyboard mapping is usable.

A very slightly refurbished re-release of the old and forgotten PC port. Works out of the box on Win10 (probably courtesy of the GOG team) and that's about it - same assets, resolution options, etc. Konami and the dead horse. The game itself is great if you enjoy the particular blend of things MGS came to be known for. The characters, gimmicks and novelties intertwine with the stealth gameplay in a way that is endearing even to somebody who feels no nostalgia towards it. Making at least one Thief fanboy seethe enough to give it a 1* review is a nice bonus.

Finally a way to play this on PC.. i found a little bit problem with de-synched audio/text in one of the codec call... Please add other languages that the original game had
