METAL GEAR

This game offers Metal Gear's famous tactical espionage action at its most pure and basic form, and what a form that is! This is no emulation, it's an actual proper port of the MSX2 original, with the updated translation from 2004, making this option the best way to play through the game. Please keep re-releasing old MG titles, I would love to be able to buy the underrated masterpiece that is Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.

I just bought the game and I'm impressed by the port. It is not a simply emulator but almost like a real windows game. That's how all games should by put onto windows. Great work.

EN: I'm very happy with this version which the MSX version with all content from MGS3 Subsistance ( Which include the infinity bandana and boss survival mode + easy mode). However i don't understand why it's not accompanied with Metal Gear 2 : Solid Snake. FR: Je suis content de l'avoir acheter n'ayant jamais put jouer aux Metal Gear fondateur. Je suis content. Ce jeu est la meilleur version du jeu (Version MSX) mais inclus tout les bonus de la version MGS3 Subsistance (Qui inclut un mode facile , un mode boss survival et bien entendu le fameux bandana d'infinité). Bon produit toutefois il n'y a pas Metal Gear 2 : Solid Snake.

Solid Snake arrived finally gog. It's so awesome. I'm a big fan of the story-wise very complex MGS-Games.

Before you start the game for the first time make sure you go to Setting->Additional Executables->Game Configuration (in GOG Galaxy) to check or set the controls to your liking. The game doesn't tell you the controls otherwise. You can also do that by openings settings.exe in the same location the game's .exe is. Aside from controls and language, there aren't any settings to change. Aside from that though, it's a functioning port. If you want to play MG1, this is probably the way to do it.
