Medieval Dynasty - Digital Supporter Edition

Not leaving many reviews here, because I'm usually too lazy to leave a proper review. However, I see those extremely unjustified low star reviews, so I have to do something about it! I hit over 100 hours in this game 2 days ago. This is seriously one of the best Early Access (In Development) games you can play since years. No missing updates bullshit, no developer who is aggressive to their community or any of that stuff. If you invest in this Early Access (In Development) game, you get A LOT, considering this game isn't even fully released yet. If you don't play for a month or two, you can be sure to download at least one huge update, before you start playing again. For example, I made a break between version 0.4 and 0.6 and these were some really huge updates, with lots of features, bug fixes and additions to the game. Most importantly: THE DEVELOPERS LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY! I have seen so many players request stuff and a majority of requests actually get implemented! I consider buying this game on Steam, even though I obviously bought it here already, and plan to buy DLC, if any will come, to support the great developers this game has. If you want to build your "Medieval Dynasty" by playing someone who starts out as a random dude, but then, over the years, works himself up to build and manage his own village, then you should really play this game. Additionally, it has some non-annoying survival elements, that keep you on track and make this seemingly quiet game more demanding and exciting in a way, that forces you to play efficient and with brains, i.e. it does not get boring.

This game really excels at it's stated goal. Grow and manage your dynasty. There is a fun mix of adventure and colony management and there is always something to keep you busy. In addition to gethering resources, building, huntng, farming, trading and all the other things, there are also quests. Not just random NPC quests, of which there are plenty, but also, several quest lines that unfold a story. The management system is VERY deep and detailed. Many of the tasks are dependent on each other and provide a chance for detailed management of your NPCs, their professions, and their tasks at their given profession. The graphics are gorgeous and the animations for your actions are fantastic. Using each of the crafting stations or watching your peons do their tasks is very enjoyable. The weather effects are also outstanding and actually play a role in the temperature. This game was made with care and attention to detail and it shows. The devs are constantly making little tweeks, changes and updates to keep the game balanced and make it better. They also included many option to make the game easier or harder to accomadate your personal play style. Play the game your way! I have gotten more than my money's worth from this game and if you like these types of games, it is worth full price.

This game was fun for a few hours, but it turned out to be a strategy, management game rather than an adventure RPG that I was expecting it to be. I prefer to do all the work with my character, but you need to hire people to do the work. That is not the type of game I am into. Perhaps it is fun for people who enjoy delegating work in a game, but I prefer to play the game myself. I did enjoy the bow hunting for a while, but that's pretty much the only combat that was worthwhile.

I bought Medieval Dynasty support edition on 12/18/2023, to my surprise it is not updated to the latest version with co-op mode. The co-op version came out on 12/7/2023, today is 12/21/2023, when do the developers plan to update their game on GOG. The worst thing is that GOG tolerates this, if the developers themselves are going to discriminate their games on this platform don't sell them, this makes me want to never buy anything from GOG again.
