Today's games evolve and we expect to receive the updates that are released. I don't think abandoning those who purchased on GoG is acceptable. This is especially true considering the high price which makes this game a very poor value on GoG.
I overviewed this game, and it looks really nice and promising so far. I will definetly buy this game as soon it will be released (if developers will not break it till release).
At this moment biggest cons I found are:
* It need some markers on a top of quest/merchant characters instead of on compass. Or mark them in some another way visually directly in game otherwise npc search is not a gameplay but just "locate it by compass". As another decision make npc more individual to recognize them visually.
* It will be very usefull to have a home village marker on compass.
* Some logical gaps definetly should be fixed (for example:killing 1 boar gives about 4 meat pieces, each meat restore only about 8 hunger. So you eated a whole adault boar and it was not enought to restore hunger? Really? It should be enought for several days or persons! Or another example from one big tree you can produce 4 spears? Really? From a tree?)
* More detailed help / separate tutorial will be welcomed as well. (I hope it is planed in the development roadmap)
Many others things I hope are in development roadmap as well (personalization, pretie and more varied models, real npc that joins into the player village, swimming and more and more....)
But I really will follow up this game with hope it will be finished on the good level and it will be realy worth to purchase it.
This game really excels at it's stated goal. Grow and manage your dynasty.
There is a fun mix of adventure and colony management and there is always something to keep you busy. In addition to gethering resources, building, huntng, farming, trading and all the other things, there are also quests. Not just random NPC quests, of which there are plenty, but also, several quest lines that unfold a story.
The management system is VERY deep and detailed. Many of the tasks are dependent on each other and provide a chance for detailed management of your NPCs, their professions, and their tasks at their given profession.
The graphics are gorgeous and the animations for your actions are fantastic. Using each of the crafting stations or watching your peons do their tasks is very enjoyable. The weather effects are also outstanding and actually play a role in the temperature.
This game was made with care and attention to detail and it shows. The devs are constantly making little tweeks, changes and updates to keep the game balanced and make it better. They also included many option to make the game easier or harder to accomadate your personal play style. Play the game your way!
I have gotten more than my money's worth from this game and if you like these types of games, it is worth full price.
Its a very complete game for aplha. 4 hours of solid play time and the game play is solid. Graphics are stable. Nice pacing to the questing and crafting/building system. You have to spend a good amount of time playing the game to learn new stuff to do. The amount of weight you can carry is realisticish without being to crippling. Kinda reminds me of a better version of Ark with Skyrim enviorments.
My only complaints about the game are finding "quest givers' can be a bit tedious with the markers on the compass and no makers on the NPCs themselves. For ultra settings a gtx 1060 is probably the level of card you would want.
