Not only a game, but a piece of ART.

Fast action, nice tactics moments, amazing art direction, terrific music, wow moments!, perfect gameplay, innovation, hilarious and misterious plot... It has everything on it. MDK it´s a diamond even today, and it´s a must have for everyone. It has incredible graphics and gameplay, even for today standars.

Awesome !!

I remember when I was young, at the time when PC's were just some huge greys machines on your desk, with a big awful screen, my father had MDK on his computer. And when I played it, I was completeley terrified. The robot's screams were so......so.......they gave me so much thrills !!!! I never finished the first level >< An some years later, I played again, and I just finished this god dam first level with these god dam robots (which show their asses ^^) in 5 minutes and I discovered......that it was not the game but just a demo..........I was so disapointed. That was about 10 years ago. And now, thanks to GOG.com, I re-discovered this amazing action game !!! Really, I didn't realise that but MDK was sooooo funny !! And so cool !!! Don't hesitate and buy the pack, it's really worth it !!

The best game I've never played...

MDK is one of the most refreshing, intense, action packed experiences in gaming I've had in years and it astounds me that this was made in the 90s. You play as Kurt, a janitor for a mad scientist Dr. Hawkins flying down to various countries on Earth which are under attack by Minecrawlers, extremely large vehicles filled with aliens. Every Minecrawler is very different and divided into sections called "Arenas" and that's exactly what they are. You clear out room after room of bad guys in a fast paced combat style which is reliant on how fast you can scroll your mouse. The items and sniper mode provide for entertaining kills with explosions and lasers flying everywhere. Speaking of flying, Kurt uses an obscure parachute to float to different areas in a platforming aspect which is fun and easy to master. I really enjoyed this game and the only problem I have with it is that it's short, only about four hours in duration. That said I'm going to be playing MDK 2 very soon.

Something impressive for the time.

This game is awesome now (one of my favorites), but something even cooler that most people don't think of is that the play fields are HUGE, and there are no load screens; not even on the PS1 version. I doubt that was easy to program back in the day, and I find it really cool. That's not the only thing this game has, though. Being designed by Shiny, you can expect a lot of humor and surrealism, as well as nonstop frenetic action...this game is what Earthworm Jim 3D SHOULD have been. Perhaps the best thing about this game is the soundtrack. It is very well orchestrated, and really gets you in the mood of the setting. I really can't say enough good things about MDK. Even though I think the sequel, MDK2, is better, that doesn't stop MDK from being one of the greatest games ever made. A fair warning to all of you; this game is brutally difficult, especially if you only save at the beginning of a level like I do.
