A Quacking Good Time

One of the most surprisingly inventive, creative and clever platformers I've encountered - it's especially impressive given just how late in the life of the 16-bit era Maui Mallard saw release. There are gimmicks and ideas in this game that I've never seen recreated, despite how fascinating and unique they are - the bungee cord level springs immediately to mind, as well as the later underwater section. It's hard but passwords will see you through.

Just amazing platform but also difficult

If you like platform, donald duck (ops... maui mallard), difficult old games with amazing soundtrack this is for you. This is the best PC version of the game, and it include a manual. It works really good (much better than the original cd version). The only real "problem" is to exit the game... At least I don't really know how, I just alt+f4 every time I need to exit the game (and the game actually ask if you want to exit so maybe this is the way to exit). Remember to get more coins during the game so that you can actually get a password to skip to level X without do every times the game from scratch (you can still find passwords on the internet if you can't). Also remember to read the manual, sometimes it's a life saver.

Great game, amazing soundtrack

This is one of my favorite games from my childhood. The story is pretty fun, and the gameplay is tight, but what really stands out to me even now is the soundtrack. Maui Mallard has some of the best music in my video game experience. I'm super happy that this game has finally made it to modern systems, because it was extremely difficult to get and run on modern systems. If you're a fan of platformers with unique and varying levels, interesting and dynamic gameplay, and humor, then this is the game for you. Maui transforms and you can actively switch his form to take advantage of different environments. There are secrets galore, and the replayability is great too.

Great variety of scenarios

This game has a great soundtrack. The variety of scenarios and gameplay is astonishing. Plus you play as donald duck. The transformation into ninja is pretty cool. The jump animation is very similar to aladdin but who cares about that xD

Good game but with some flaws

When I was a child I had a demo of this game so I always wanted to play the full version. Both graphic and music are stunning, but the controls are a bit clunky, making the game harder than it should be. Moreover the game crashed a few times without reason, and that is quite annoying... Eventually, you are not provided with the passwords, which are very useful if you don't want to start the game over from the beginning each time you play. I don't know if they were available with the original game, and you can easily find them online, but it would have been nice to have them included with the purchase.
