You obviously did not consult with the kind of people that might actually play this type of game! Which makes you as inconsiderate as the same folks whom decide that a well written book requires MANY changes before it is suitable for filming! I will not ask you how foolish you believe all those who play these type of game are, since you made those decisions without my or any other gamester's help. While the information gathered MAY help the site (Especially the owners of the site) hosting the "Multi players, did it even occur to you to ASK? Many of the players are helpful, generous people, who might even approve in helping them make the site better, (Despite the lack of compensation offered) even with the occasional misuse of the collected data. That you did NOT ask suggests that it may not have crossed your thoughts. If you do not mind sharing your gaming data as well as much of your personal data, (your right name, address, phone info, ACCOUNT NUMBERS, etc. By all means BUY THIS GAME!

People should NOT be able to post reviews on a game they have no purchsed much less PLAYED, its a waste of time going from page to page just trying to find a review from someone that has actually played the game. instead I get hit by a wall of soap box gamers crying about DRM....come on

"EULA" boo-hoo "Multiplayer DRM" *sob* *sob* The reviews here should be about THE GAME, not the DRM-EULA paranoid conspiration theory the nerds-in-a-bunker keeps whining about. If you're a ordinary human, with a life, a family, and much worse worries than "oh my God, it's the EULA!" and if "Multiplayer DRM" is way down on your lists of imminent death threats, then read this: The game IS great, It's really good at what It does: being a 4x game. It's graphics are really good, the gameplay is fluid, the game is not overcomplex (I still wonder why someone keeps playing games that are so boring and complicated that looks like we should've been paid [or condemned] to play them.) Master Of Orion is NOT that kind of game. You can sit down in the end of a tiresome workday and relax playing a game that can be whatever you want: just adjust the right settings and there you go: a difficult (or not so difficult) 4x game that pleases the eye and the mind. Now, if you're worried about the spies trying to rob your soul essence with Demonic-imbued EULA's and with Satanic DRMs, well...go read some paranoid review, there are plenty of them. "Anti-DRM" and "Anti-EULA" has become a fanatic cult on countries that people really have not much else to worry...very sad. My only advice: wait for a tiny shiny promo, BUY AND PLAY! Bear in mind that the only reason for so many negative reviews is the fact that paranoid lifeless nerds living in bunkers and fighting against the "DRM-EULA conspiracy" abhor made this game negative-reviewed. I say again: the game is GREAT.

This is one of the worst designed games I have ever played. Seriously, if you don't know how to make a game and you want to make a rehatch of an old classic, please, please please, just stop. Stop it already. It's bad enough that we had that slop driveled out by the people who ruined MOO for all of us with MOO III. Did they really need to destroy a classic by making a terrible remake like this?
