This was what the end evolution of Civ should have been. Still the best 4x game ever made, and highly addictive.

Simply great!!!
Are you kidding me this game doesnt even need a review just freaking buy it already!!!!! simply the best classic turned based strategy of all time. Its amazing how complex the game is especailly for its age. Good luck getting tired of playing this game i have owned it since its release over 10 years ago and it still occupies a few hours to a day of my time every month or so!!!! If you like strategy and magic and just pure greatness you have to play masters of magic!!!!!

Master of Magic
One of my favourites dating way way back. Very excited to be able to run it again thanks to DosBox and up until very recently, really enjoying playing it again. However ... not sure what has changed BUT ... MoM will simply not run now. None of the 4 versions available play without a game crash on start up such that it freezes and hangs as the DB splash screen appears. The sound is all over the place and that all-to-familiar opening scene from MoM will not appear but a garbled version of the "Old man ...." intro attempts to play. Very sad that this no longer seems to work. No, I have not changed my PC, operating system or anything else.

This game has take hour of my life, and I'm glad it did. Playing as a sorcerer, I would smoke every other sorcerer, with my army and magic.
