Enemies and Allies

The Old World

A captain in Man O’ War: Corsair can sail the coast of a huge continent in the Warhammer world. Visiting over 50 ports from Erengrad to Sartosa, the sea is yours to explore.

A heroic adventurer does not only have enemy ships to contend with. The deep and unexplored oceans hold terrifying creatures that few see and live to tell the tale. These deadly creatures emerging from the deep sea will chill blood and drop jaws in equal measure. The wise would attempt to flee but those brave enough to tackle such creatures will be famed throughout the world.

Here there be monsters....

  • Huge game world to explore with over 50 ports

  • A huge variety of customisable vessel types and characters

  • Trade, explore, and fight

A 2006 game released a decade late

This game would have been barely acceptable had it been developed and released in 2006, the game engine is bug ridden and runs at a glacial pace, the graphics are several generations out of date, the towns are little more than interchangeable place holders. As a GW tabletop port its probably one of the better ones...the designs and ideas follow the tabletop but as a pirate based game this is beaten hands down by Sid Meier`s Pirates a game over a full decade older. Save the money buy the older game.

Good naval combat

The combat is good but the on foot battles get quite boring after the first raid or ship boarding. If you like mount and blade you might like this. The devs haven't abandoned it but they are working verrrry slowly on it.

Grabage broken game

I got 14 hours in and the game broke. Quests stopped working because the buttons you need to click to finish the quest stopped working. No matter how many times you click them you can't accpet a new quest or complete one. If you buy this game there is a genuine chance you're buying a broken product that doesn't work. Garbageware, the fact this is even for sale is unethical. You can't sell a broken game and say that's ok especially one this bare bones. The fact there's DLC for this is a bad joke even with all the DLC there are mods better than this. You can clearly see there was promise but it was abandoned, it's unmoddable and I can't find any way to fix the bug because the game is so small in a fan base there are no posts online about bugs and how to fix them. I paid $10 for a game that doesn't work. Don't buy! unfourtunately it didn't break until my refund window was over so now I can't even buy something esle and I'm PO'd this needs to be taken off sale it's theft. If a game doesn't work you can't sell it!

Barely Playable

As the title says, this game is crippled by bugs, and a barely functional combat system. There is no responsiveness to your actions, you just mash buttons until you see a poorly made death animation. Additionally the movement is extremely rough, adding no nuance to melee combat. The naval combat is extremely basic, but at least somewhat polished. Imagine if you're playing gmod and you kite around something in a circle while mashing the attack button. The ships themselves are boring to look at, though there is decent variety. The campaign is nonexistent, nothing to do and plenty of empty see to sail in. This might pass for an early beta build. What saddens me most is that because this studio utterly failed at making this game, then GW will think nobody likes Man o War. Thereby pouring salt into my wounds.
