Old skool hacker!
If anyone remembers changing their boot screens in Win95/98? Then this is what greets you when you start the demo. It 'takes over' your desktop with an old VGA GUI. Complete with taskbar, note pad, browser, DOS prompt, Data Base and internal chat system. Options for restarting/shut down/change user, become the game options; sound/resolution. With it's whacky Rainbow OS out the way, you have a scrolling chat sidebar with which cases are discussed and delivered to you. As an MI7 Operative you then download case files and maps and set about assembling the neccessary info needed to afford an arrest by way of suspect/location and evidence. If like myself you've never done anything more 'criminal' than doing an IPCONFIG, then this is fun and ,in a way, shows you what the 'dark bedroom' lot get up to! It's rewarding finding details through 'iphack' and using the net and blogs etc. Whether it has a varied set of missions? who knows yet. Certainly the second 'map tracker' mission has potential. You can keep multiple screens open and take notes on your note pad, though the note pad only hold as many lines as you see on screen - i couldn't scroll it?? Also you cannot delete entries other than deleting everything from the bottom upwards -i suggest that get's changed in a patch. It's 'clean' and simple to get into, which can be half the battle in games. Anyway, it took me about 1hr 40 mins play time to finish both missions -i aint a bedroom 'hacker, lol and i never got them right first time. Can't (obviously) say if it's going to get repetitive or not. Try it and see.
