Tedious but Fun
Despite having some age to it this game is still really good experience for fans of the mad max franchise. There isn't another game like it. Sure it takes some combat mechanics from the arkham series but other than that you won't get another experience like mad max and I'm surprised most games haven't replicated it's style of gameplay. My only issue is how tedious everything is. Almost everything has an animation to it, drinking water, refilling water, eating food, kicking a door open, and shit similar to that. and while i understand why most of them need an animation, it gets kind of tedious holding a button to do most of the things. A lot of the enemy camps have similar layouts, and a lot of em-if not all of them-just involve going in, beating up a bunch of guys, then blowing something up or killing a beefed up enemy that the game calls a boss. 100%ing these areas is also a chore. You not only need to blow the things up but if you want full completion you have to find every single piece of scrap and every single insignia and break it. While I don't mind that, since it is optional it was always annoying finding every single piece of scrap in a fairly linear camp only to have missed one in a path that divulged off 15 minutes ago. Point being I don't think this game would be fun to 100% if you're into that. Casually this is a really fun experience but I don't think it ever gets deep enough to warrant spending too much time in it.
