Machinika Museum

The story feels like an excuse for the puzzles and brain teasers, but the star of the show are the artifacts and mystery objects along with the packages they come in. I had fun with this, mind you I bought on black friday, but if it would have been full price, I would be somewhat disappointed about how short it was. From installation to finish in about 6 hours. Might pick up the sequel on discount too when it is out.

This was a really fun puzzle game, however I would have loved to have more to do after getting all the puzzles done, maybe a short adventure or something similar. As in the Myst game.

Your job is to assemble and repair various alien artifacts. It always starts easy by opening the box the artifact is delivered in, and the more dangerous the artifact is, the more complex it is to open the box. Next thing you set the parts together and power them up, which always means a logical riddle, things must be moved, aligned or placed right. If you`re good at this, it`s fun, if not or if you have a bad day, it can be annoying, as this kind of games always can be ("House of DaVinci" was "worse"). The game could have been a bit longer, the story could have been a bit deeper, but I enjoyed it anyway.

I didn't want to judge it, but it's always on my mind. So I wrote this review. Is it bad? Oh, no, no, it's good, but it's not good enough. The subject matter of alien technology is very good, but when it comes to decrypting the content, the sudden sense of pulling me back to human society. Yes, I mean the puzzle is a poor blend of genre. For example, I have played other similar games in the past (like Da Vinci Chamber?). The presentation of the puzzle and the object itself blend well, giving me the feeling that I am playing with a complex and delicate toy. But it has to be said that the game manages the difficulty of the puzzles very well, and most of the time it is a casual experience. How to eat it? My advice is to play or progress an hour or two before bed every day. No more than one level is recommended. That is: Take at night, once a day, one level at a time. I hope it helps. I loved the game. The puzzles were fairly easy. The graphics - excellent. Objections: 1. It could be longer. 2. It is glitchy. The game got stuck on several places whene I could not do anything any more (naither move nor click on anythiong) so I had to quit. After resuming it did not save my prpgress completely so I had to redo the last puzzle. The same happened to me and to my friend on two different PCs. 3. Movig objects was not always easy, sometimes even tedious. All in all it could be a great game with more story (not only puzzles), longer duration, and no glitches, of course. If you buy it when it is on a discount, then it is ok. I hope there will be a sequel but if so, do make it longer.
