Surprisingly good
I was geninely pleasantly surpised by this game. Storywise it's a pretty slow build-up. In the beginning of the game, a lot of characters' motivations seemed weird, and it was almost to the point were I gave up on it. But there's an in-game universe explanation for the awkwardness -- I would encourage anyone who just started playing this game to stick with it; it really picks up. I started playing this because of the adult theme -- but after a while the story became the motivating factor to keep playing. I took one star off because: - It's very linear, but it seems to try to give an appearance of not being so. - It's a little too long; and I don't mean that there's too much content -- there's way too much time spent simply going back and forth across the map. Relating to the previous point; it's linear and it's not always obvious what the next thing is, so you just spend a lot of time revisiting every room, and looking for something to trigger the next event. - I don't like pixel hunting as a game mechanic, and there's some pixel hunting-like mechanics in this game (though not a lot). I would probably have given this three stars (which is still a good score!) if it weren't for the fact that it lays the foundation for Treasure of Nadia, which I feel is enough of a motivating factor to earn it an extra star. Do play this game, if nothing else in preparation for Treasure of Nadia.
