meh
I used a strategy guide to figure this one out. It's a good time waster, but just meh overall. Controls could be better.

Not worth it
I gave up after an hour of just trying to get out of the dungeon without success. I read the manuals and walkthroughs but nothing helped with the clunky controls and confusing dialogue. Good thing it was free because it wasn't even worth the $0 I paid for it.

A chore to play
Some of the reviews mention, that other versions of the game don't have such a troubled controls (I would add one *) + Really stylish intro + For a fairy tale, it has a pretty cool dark athmosphere + Some aspects of the story and the game world are surprisingly original and non cliche - Bad controls and general slowness are killing the game - "Virtual theatre", while technological marvel at the time, is mostly another pain in the butt - Ratpouch is even more useless than Cedric in KQV - Abrupt ending

Game play makes me twitch
I absolutely hate the way the dialogue works. Beneath a Steel Sky has a much better system and is far superior. The main problem I have is that I have to click on a person and then choose to ask, talk, or give something to and then the way the dialogue comes up is just cumbersome. The story line looks interesting, but I can't force myself to play through the clumsy interface.

Should be repackaged with DOSBox.
The controls are increadible buggy and frustrating. You end up spending more effort fighting to try and get the movement to go where you want rather than thinking about what you have to do. The audio is also really buggy. It ends up sounding like sirans half of the time due to the emulator. However, this may be able to be solved. This should be repackaged with DOSBox as soon as possible. It actually has a decent audio soundtrack, but ScummVM fails to capture this.
