Discover a dark family secret and rid a young girl of her nightmares in this splendidly British point & click comedy adventure. Playing as sharp-witted Lucy, explore both dreams and reality to meet all the colourful characters who'll help you solve puzzles, gather clues and find a murderer.

Ride your bike around the small British town of Figgington to meet its sardonic residents. Use your map to explore every corner, from its run-down town centre to the local pub as you discover the town's deepest, darkest secrets.

Learn techniques for dream control and enter Lucy's mind to unlock hidden memories, discover the past and unearth the disturbing truth behind her recurring nightmares.

Along the way, you'll need to solve a huge variety of puzzles, so pour yourself a nice cup of tea and bring your powers of observation, logic and lateral thinking.

From her dysfunctional family and the cynical Figgington townsfolk to the myriad of extraordinary characters from the depths of Lucy's subsonscious, do you have what it takes to pacify giant crabs, interrogate old ladies, satisfy toddlers and bargain with trolls? Just don’t forget your teddy bear.

    Fun, witty, well-made indie adventure

Lucy is a small girl, with big specs and unfeasibly large pigtails, and a no-nonsense attitude. When she suffers from nightmares, she determines to get to their cause: first by detective investigation of the ten-year-old events which may have traumatised her, and second by taking control of her dreams (the title is a pun on "lucid dreaming") to obtain tools to deal with her nightmares. (A key game mechanic is that objects acquired in one dream are retained in her inventory for use in all other dreams.) I liked Lucy; she's a brassy northern lass with a keen eye and a blunt way of talking. (Example, when trying to check her email: "I'm buggered if I can remember me password.") I also found it nice to see a thoroughly British game, down to the village fete where it is permanently raining (everywhere else is dry), the grimy pub, and the charity shop selling worthless tat. I wonder what Americans make of it. (Here's one example: https://ladiesgamers.com/lucy-dreaming-review/) Disclosure: I helped Kickstart this game.

    A great adventure!

Finally a game where I didn't feel stupid and embarrased because I got blocked every 2 minutes. Every puzzle was logical, nothing too crazy or impossible to figure out. This is just what I needed. An great little adventure for my treasured spare time without any need to cheat. Aaaand... lots of English humor. I bet there were lots of things I didn't get as English is my third language, but the game was spot on, enjoyable even for friggin' foreigners like me. Can't wait to try their new games. With lots of dogs. :)

    Tribute to the classics

Lucy Dreaming is a tribute to old-school point and click adventures, like the Day of the Tentacle or Simon the Sorcerer. It has some good puzzles, is full of silly puns and really enjoyable light hearted adventure game fun. I did find the game to be a bit too linear for my taste, and occasionally I was stuck trying to figure out what the next thing the game wanted me to do. Generally, just remember to select all menu options in all the conversation menus, then you will do fine.

Shows the good memories of P&C games

I sometimes start a point and click determined to experience it fully, but often give up after getting frustrated. No such problem here. The design and balance are great, there are lots of puzzles with a range of difficulty. The game also does a good job of keeping you on track without making it too easy. It is absolutely possible to complete this game with a high enjoyment and engagement level the entire way through. It's the first point and click I've completed without needing a guide, so I got a real sense of achievement. I had a smile on my face the entire time, and was regularly laughing out loud. There is a bit of a British influence, but this is just a part of the charm.

    A classic feel

Well, to put it short, Lucy Dreaming is a game that could be coming straight from the golden era of P&C adventure games. The puzzles are a mix of too easy, logical, hard and illogical. Just like the games of the past. I wish Return of Monkey Island had puzzles like this game. Everything is really lovable about Lucy Dreaming, even though it’s a tad morbid. Recommended.
