I tried it years ago and gave up after 50 minutes for some reason. Came back and remembered why.
No minimap, feels really 'console-porty', combat animations are really jarring and ruins immersion; I tried all the weapon archetypes and none of them seem smooth, almost like im not even in the same game as the mobs.
It's not for me, others seem to like it, but it never grabbed me enough to make it out of the first tutorial mission.
The story of the game seems decent however everything else is mediocre to bad. This game was my very first souls like game and I can't bring myself to like it. After the first three bosses as a warrior, I couldn't do it anymore, because it's too grindy and some enemies (not bosses) are very unfair. I bought it for 2 euros to decide to give a shot, but after 5 hours I just couldn't anymore. The dodge roll is too slow, parrying/blocking does almost nothing, you just have to perma dodge roll. If you decide to play as brawler/warrior don't, it is THE HARDEST CLASS IN THE GAME. The heavy armor is great, but the weapons even with sockets feel like they do no damage at all. If you die the enemies respawn, if you restart the game the enemies respawn. There are some enemies that you need to kill specific runes for them to die, because otherwise they regenerate so fast while doing damage to you. Health potions barely work. You have to be so far away from enemies for it to work, because if you try to press 1 on keyboard there is a small delay and if they attack fast it's impossible to heal yourself back up.
TLDR: The game is very hard, very grindy, seems unrewarding for the amount of time you put into it, enemies unfair, bosses are OK and the story is decent.
I do not recommend this game. Save your for money for a better souls like game.
