Little Inferno

This game is a really simple formula: You put things in your fireplace, and burn them. Some of them will do some specific effect when you burn them. And the goal is to find some combo of stuff to burn based on a simple description. And the story just unfold in front of your eyes nicely. Not much else to say, just sit down, and enjoying your chill game.

It's a really fun game, worth all the time.

Little Inferno was made by the creators of World of Goo, so it shares the same overall aesthetic and sense of humor. However, Little Inferno can't keep up with its famous predecessor. The goal of the game is to buy things and burn them in the fireplace, which generates money to buy more things to burn over and over again... and that's it! The combos option (burning some defined set of things together) really does not change much. The game quickly become repetitive and boring, so you are pushing to discover new combos not because they are particularly fun (they are not), but to quickly get done with the game. Luckily, the game is short (one or two evenings of play) so you can finish it before you get bored of playing. I'm not saying that game is worthless. There is some entertainment in the process, but not enough to justify buying Little Inferno for the full price. Wait for the sale with at least 70% discount, play once, and never go back to this title.

Yes there is this whole idea of it being about people and their smart phones, but honestly I think it still applies to anything electronic. As of right now, Window's 10. Playing your Win 10 exclusive games, like your burning stuff in your Little Inferno; countless hours of entertainment. -Spoilers- The game pointing out of everything is getting colder (probably with the idea of no one talking to each other alagory), even talking to Nancy at the end as she explains how everything will freeze over, how everything will stop (End of Win 10 Support in this case); and all you can do is either freeze with it or just break out and move on, but don't look back. -Spoilers- That's the real magic of this game, using it's gameplay to make a point. And I think it's a classic because of that.

I played the iOS version some time ago (it is the same game, no changes). This game is absolutely fantastic. There are no scores or competitive play whatsoever but still it is very addicting. It is so much fun to put things on fire and the story (letters from your neighbour and other people) is made with much heart. The soundtrack is really good and the animations as well. The thing I liked most was probably the ending. You can play this game more than once but it gets a bit repetitive over the time, anyways I would rate this THE BEST casual game in the Appstore. I don't know if the controls are good for PC but I would actually recommend to get this game for your mobile device.
