I really liked to see Rachel and Chloe relationships in this game. They are just soo cool. Overall plot is great.
Blacktallk challenges are soo cool and badass.
Also bonus episode really adds to Max story and it's so sad.

My PC meets all the required specs but the game crashes on startup.
Bought this and “Life is Strange – Complete Season” both do not work.
Theses are the first games from GOG that I have had Issues with.
Great highly underrated prequel that adds more depth to the characters - actually makes the original better, giving it more layers - exploring Chloe's time alone and how she meets Rachel, who goes from being the-girl-on-the-poster to a charming force of nature. Does not pull punches emotionally. It manages to make you feel even worse for how Max left her when she needed her most, but also contains brief moments of happiness.
While it doesn't have the time travel and photography of LiS the arguing mini-game and (graffiti) tagging really fit Chloe's personality. imo if you enjoyed the first game, you'll enjoy this.
I thought this video "Dealing with grief" by Cagey videos did a good job of explaining what is so good about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMOMgLR2OU4
I played the main 3 part game on PS4 so I bought this to play the bonus game and mixtape. It works without the bonus addon but crashes if I install the addon. I tried it on two computers.
This game absolutely wrecked me, emotionally, more than any other game. I played this after Life is Strange (it is a prequel and can really be played in whatever order).
The tone is a lot different from Life is Strange (made by a different team), but it's gripping. I actually think the gameplay is a little smoother, and it feels slightly more like a traditional adventure game.
But I was so gripped by the story that I couldn't stop til I was done. It was the bonus episode that really got me.
In many ways, I'd suggest playing this first. It gives you insight into Life is Strange, and if you're looking for the happiest ending possible in Life is Strange. The main story dovetails nicely into setting the stage for the town, and the bonus chapter sets the stage for the main characters.
Life is Strange 2 is also excellent, but it did not grip me in the same way as the first game and this prequel.
