Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don't Dry

I like old style Sierra point-and-click puzzle solvers, so that part was fun. There were several "how in the world was I supposed to guess that" moments, and the logic and physics of the world are so inconsistent it was hard to feel invested. The aesthetic of the game was dirty, but not in a naughty way - more like disease infested gross. Things like puke and diahhrea were so common it was hard to enjoy it like a King's Quest type of game. The erotic material was mostly suggestive comments and phallic imagery. If you're hoping for a game that has dirty pictures this probably won't do it for you (unless dirty means a back alley that hasn't been cleaned in 20 years). Jokes about boogers and poop made it feel like this was meant for middle school instead of adult. It was like they wanted to edge just over the PG-13 line to get an R rating... but only barely. There was decent set-up too. Times when something interesting looked like it would happen, but then the hapless Larry would lose out leaving me just disappointed.

Pros: Looks good UI is modern and hotkeys on the mouse make it easy Good length Voice acting is decent Cons: Not very sexy... The sexiness definitely feels dialed down.

The game is a solid 3.5 but it is really entertaining with the references and how bizarre it can be. I don't like not being able to pause the game in the middle of a conversation or being able to carry on the conversation at my own pace, it takes a lot away from the game. However, it was my first Larry adventure game and I liked the whole introduction to the character and his story. Excellent game to have a good time.

Just dropping my two cents to add some sugar to the salt here. Really good, modern adaptation of the classic Larry games. It's hasn't got exactly the same spirit, but is really well done. If you are missing these classic raunchy Sierra titles in the modern times, you should love this game. If you don't know Larry Laffer: It's suposed to be more funny than sexy. But it has got that slippery dirty humor you probably know from somewhere.

It is an old game and was so good in that time !
