An other nice Lego game

So, after roughly fourteen hours, according to the ingame counter, I finished Lego Star Wars 3 and jhad a lot of fun with it. While I have to admit that the game makes a rather bad first impression, it opens up later on and reaches the fun and quality of the previous two games. The story itself covers the time between Episode 2 and Episode and has basically 3 story archs you can follow as you please with 6 story missions each. These missions vary between the good old linear levels, space battles and the new assault maps, where you are placed on a large battlefield and can build structures and order and drive vehicles, like the ATTE, AAT or Hailfire droids. On the bad side, unless you've watched the TV show I guess, the story seems kind of random with no red line connecting the individual scenarios. Despite of this variety, the missions themselves are a mixed bag. Some of them are pretty good, but most of them are either mediocre or even boring. The reason for this is that some of them are pretty repetitive, especially at the start and end of the game. For example, there is one missions which consists of planting an increasing number of bombs in a droid facility and ones that's done, the mission is finished. The same goes for the Assault missions, which you unlock after finishing the story line and which can be plaid either on the Republic or Droid side of the war. The problem with them is, that they only consist of Assault maps, with their capturing of command posts on the map and building structures and calling vehicles, and only offer two different objectives, which gets repetitive pretty quickly. An other negative point in my opinion are the space levels, due to the simple reason that you barely encounter any enemy fighters. Unlike in the previous games, the enemy barely engage you when in you when in space, which makes these missions feel a bit dull. But despite all of that, Lego Star Wars 3 is an enteretaining game andI can recommend it.

The Best!!

This game is by far the best of the Lego Star Wars games. I was skeptical as I'm not a huge fan of the PT. Having said that, the levels in this game are fun and challenging. Probably the only Lego game that actually feels like a challenge. It also has great graphics and sound. Definitely worth the money and even better when on sale.

A Worthy Additon To Lego Star Wars

I've just hit over 5 hours of total play time with Lego Clone Wars/Lego Star Wars III, and I can say with confidence that I absolutely love it. It follows the events of the show it's based off of fairly well with Lego's usual humor. Even if you haven't watched it, you'll still be able to play without a lot of issue, but if you have watched it, you'll better appreciate the effort TT and Lego put into this game. Controls very well with an Xbox One controller and have encountered no issues with it - tight and responsive with no input delay. I have also encountered no dips in frame rate during gameplay nor cutscenes. As per every Lego game there's puzzles for every chapter - however, if you're familiar with Lego's past games or have played them, they shouldn't be too difficult to figure out. There's 3 main chapters the game follows: Ventress, Grevous and Count Dooku's story lines. You can choose which order to go in and can stop to try another at any time if you so wish. It's not as linear as you may expect, which I find to be a major plus. All-in-all, it's a solid Lego game and I can confidently recommend it to those who enjoy Star Wars or a classic Lego game.

One of the Good Golden Era of LEGO Games

I originally played this game about the same year this game came out. It is still as fun and engaging as you would want it to be, given time. So in this review, I think it is best to review it from a nostalgic point of view, and also some things that still stood up after all this years. GAMEPLAY Personally, I always think that LEGO games at its core is a game about collecting. Whether it's from minikits, its side object, gathering all collectibles can be fun in its own way. I have about 30+ hours of play from this game and more than a half of it is spent on this aspect. So for the people who just want to play this game solely for its core gameplay or purely for the fun of it, you're in it for a fairly equal amount of good time. Some challenges on this game could be seen as annoying or truly challenging, but it will makes you give it the attention it deserves and reward you equally. TECHNICAL It might be pretentious of me to write this, but I truly believe in this day and age, many PC or even a standard laptop can run this game smoothly without no issues whatsoever. After all, not many LEGO games can be said truly demanding from performance-based. However, there are two issues I would take even backtracking from the word performance. I played this game on a gaming laptop of 2018 release, and this game couldn't even run smoothly without me playing it with a plugged on charger. I know it could be easily rectified by overclocking my laptop, but I don' t want to nor even think that it is necessary. Lastly, there are some "bugs" or difficulty on a (many) levels in this game which requires a reset for it to work correctly. Suffice it to say, it will affect your experience in this game. Conclusion. It is a fun and all around (from a LEGO video games) game that you can expect. If you like a goofy design which LEGO known for or even a fan of Star Wars, this will be a game that you can enjoy for a fair time. You might play it again, and give it your own entertainment value.
