Kyrandia is a land of dark, mysterious forests, and sleeping dragons. A fantastic land where rubies grow on trees and magic abounds. Who would imagine that a land so idyllic would spawn a murderer so demented? Some say that the court jester, Malcolm, was mad to begin with. Others whisper in sly, conspiratorial tones that it was his burning desire to possess the precious Kyragem that slowly drove him to slay the peaceful King William.
As the rightful prince of Kyrandia, you must pursue the elusive Malcolm to recover the powerful gemstone. Only then will you be able to reclaim the throne and restore harmony to the land of Kyrandia. The Legend of Kyrandia awaits you!
A true classic - this forgotten gem from the early 90s is a must-have for every adventure game fan!
Four chapters of progressively more challenging quests that will have you casting spells, searching strangely-lit caverns, collecting gemstones, and chasing down leprechauns.
Bewitching scenery, smartly written dialogues, and atmospheric music will make your visit to Kyrandia unforgettable.
Never heard of this series before finding them on GOG. I can say that this first entry to the series deserves to be called a great point and click adventure game. It is funny, a bit dark as well and the puzzles were also enjoyable.
my parents bought me this game when i was young. I was very sick for a few years, in and out of the children's hospital, and my dad got me tons of video games both on PC and consoles of the time. this game was one of the most memorable, and for the first time ever i finally had time to sit down and beat it! i feel like i gained a part of my childhood back playing through this. Down with Malcom!
I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who likes point and click puzzle adventure games. there's lots of gotcha deaths, but honestly finding them is just as fullfilling as solving the puzzles as some of them are very funny.

This classic point-and-click game, even without the "refinement" of LucasArts games, surely deserves to be played,
Remember to save often (it's quite easy to die or to make irreversible mistakes) and that often the solution to puzzles requires "brute-force" all combinations, as was considered normal in such games; another thing considered normal at the time was the need to draw your own maps of levels, without which it's easy to get lost (however, GOG provides the official guide to the game, that includes also great maps). The ending is perhaps a bit rushed.
