Legend of Grimrock

Picked up this game to do a Let's Play of it in French. The game is really good and entertaining, quite easy to pick up, honestly. The combat is easy when you're 1 on 1 but it quickly gets a lot harder when there are more enemies. It's visually beautiful, both technically and in style. I've really no complain about Legend of Grimrock. It's great value for the price, especially if you pre-ordered it. I'll recommend it and I hope to see more games like this in the future.

When I say glitches, I don't mean of the graphical sort. Being a programmer, I was interested in seeing how their pathfinding was implemented. Turns out, if you give monsters paths of equal length, they can actually get stuck quite a bit. They also can't strafe (walk side to side) so that makes combat a lot easier. That said, I just died against four skeletons pinning me in a corner. That sucked, but it's fun nonetheless. The graphics are good, but I'm surprised it's chugging on my laptop. Perhaps spending a little more time optimizing the game would have been worthwhile, but even at medium graphics the game still looks quite good, so I can't really complain. I'm not sure how the later puzzles get, but so far all the puzzles have practically given me the solution. There have been no real mind-bending puzzles yet, but I don't mind. Overall, the core gameplay is well-designed, the game looks and feels nice and the score is, in my opinion, unique and engaging. Definitely worth a recommendation.

This is a fantastic game it is even better when using nvida 3d glasses. But i wish the map was on screen al the time.

I really enjoy this game!!! Brings back the feeling of the old school Dungeon Master game! I also really like the fact that it is a game where you need to think a bit and strategize, rather than running in swinging. Great RPG and a great buy! I really hope they release an editor to the game so I can create my own dungeons as well as play others!

I've been wanting to get my hands on this game from the moment I heard about it and it doesn't disappoint. Beautiful graphics, hard as nails gameplay, damn it's looking pretty good so far.
