Legacy of Kain™ Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered

I'm having a blast reliving my childhood once again!

The game has really cool atmosphere. A nice story and graphics. The vampyre theme in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world is fun to explore. This could easily be 5/5 or atleast 4/5. Unfortunately the 'update' to modernise the controls did not do much. The moment any movement key is pressed the camera adjusts. While the controls now do let you turn the camera freely, moving it while the player charachter moves means you're fighting with the game that is trying to readjust the camera. It is incredibly frustrating so I refunded the game. I used mouse and keyboard, and no, a controller should not be neccessary for a PC game.

Plays exceptionally smooth, graphics look incredible, Modern controls make for a much more pleasurable playthrough. Haven't had any glitches so far. Best way to play both Soul Reavers on modern machines.

Plays just as well if not better than the original. Has a few bugs. One crash after leaving the game running for a few hours, and an issue with the 2 bells in the cathedral. Other than that it plays wonderfully and the remastered graphics look great!

An old classic gets a new lease of life. So far no bugs or crashes or to speak of, my only gripe is the camera. If you're a fan of the old games then I can definitely recommend it.
