Unique Art Nouveau graphics achieved through rotoscoping.

This game uses DOSBox. It comes with an utility to adjust graphic settings, but even at maximum settable size, the game's display is still too small for modern computers.
The game's animations runs poorly and inconsistently - it appeared janky at times and smooth at others. YouTube videos confirmed it is normal for this game, but I found it too off-putting to be able to enjoy playing it. It is a shame as the art looks otherwise attractive and I loved Jordan Mechner's original Prince of Persia.
I attempted to transfer the game's original DOS files to my Win98SE machine to verify my issue above (as DOSBox can cause some games to run poorly). I found out the CD-ROM files are "corrupt" and can not be changed into mountable ISO files. So the only way I can play this comfortably is to purchase the physical copy instead. So if I get around to trying this game again, a physical copy is what I would pursue. Refunding.
Although the artwork looks pretty, and the voice acting is charming, the game is not very playable in 2020. The main reason is that the graphics fill a tiny area on a modern monitor and there's no options to resize the area (perhaps drop Windows resolution, but...). Also the early 3D way of clicking to change the viewpoint works poorly here. I was constantly confused which direction I am looking towards, where am I, and what is on my left or right. Imagine losing situational awaraness train which should be pretty much a simple tube.
I also didn't find the sudden and unexplained gameovers endearing. Luckily many later adventure games have done away with game overs and sudden deaths.
Finally the game didn't work gracefully under Wine on Linux so I had to boot to Windows to try it.
Unless you're very tolerant towards dated games, better skip this one until there is a remake.
