As the other users said, the developers aren't joking when they say you should't expect even a half-finished game. Nonetheless, I do think it has a lot of potential. I definitely had a lot of fun playing what's already there and I look forward to seeing how it develops, I have high hopes for this one.
For those who are unsure whether to buy it or not, you might want to wait if you're looking for a finished product, but I would still suggest keeping an eye on it if you like this type of games. Go for it if you don't mind that it's still in alpha.
I can forgive waiting 4 1/2 years for a game to be completed as I ponied up money ahead of time. I can forgive bugs and jankiness in an uncompleted game. I can forgive missing promised features as they are surely going to be added in later. I can not forgive claiming your game is fully released when it still has these issues.
I saw this game listed on the store page and checked it out, the first line was all I needed to read to buy it: "Kynseed is a sandbox RPG adventure life sim brought to you by developers who worked on the Fable series for Lionhead Studios."
I have played a little bit of it so far, and slowly learning how the game mechanics work. I LOVE the soundtrack, the music is so soothing and relaxing!
I am very excited to see where this game goes!
This is a broken buggy mess. I've made it so far to planting the kynseed, but it was becoming too difficult to progress. I can overlook music and graphics bugs, but when the clock, item names and character names all disappeared, that was the last straw.
