Insanely addictive
I already own this game, but I figured I'd put a review on GOG. It's not a Good Old Game, more of a Good Fairly New Game. It's similar to HoMM, specifically in the turn-based battles, although there is only one army so it's less complex. Bright, vibrant graphics, fantastic musical score, extremely addicting gameplay. I can't count how many hours I've spent thinking, "just.... one.... more..... battle". It's worth at least 2 replays, since the starting general you choose changes your battle strategy a fair bit. With four levels of difficulty, though, you could get a whole lotta replay value out of this game. My only real complaint about the game is there is no way (to my knowledge) to change the key configuration. I would have preferred to remap the camera keys. All in all, a real hidden gem. One of my favorite games from the past few years.

Fun, colourful, tactics
I really enjoyed this game. Like Age of Wonders and Disciples, this game is about wandering around on an overmap, then fighting turn-based tactical battles on a grid-based battlefield. Unlike those games, King's Bounty never takes itself too seriously and the cartoony graphics are enjoyable to look at while you explore. Combat can be hard if you are unprepared, but there are skills you can get that let you gauge the strength of enemy forces from afar before you engage. If you're not strong enough there's plenty of other things you can do in the meantime to level up and increase the size of your army. There's not much of a tutorial, you might have to restart a few times to figure it out. Thankfully the beginning is quick and easy. Lots of fun, and well worth a few bucks.

Awesome Turn based strategy game
Do you remember Heroes of Might and Magic fondly? Then you will love this game. KB combines hero building with surprisingly deep turn based strategy battles. The graphics and art work are great, there is tons of content and a minimum of 40 hours gameplay, although I have put in well over 100 hours. I cannot recommend this game enough. King's Bounty: Armored Princess and Crossworlds are even better. Buy them both, enjoy them both.

An absolutely beautiful game
I'm a great fan of Heroes (HOMM) and I had chosen the game based on certain similarities, but I must say it has exceeded my expectations. You can never get tired of exploring, rotating, learning, solving. One can easily see how much effort was put in the design, working on every single detail. I'm not gonna give details, cause it's not worth spoiling the fun. I recommend this game with all my heart.
