Description

The Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition contains award-winning Kingdom Come: Deliverance and all released DLCs.

  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance
You're Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Thrust into a raging civil war, you watch helplessly as invaders storm your village and slaughter your friends and family.  Narrowly escaping the brutal attack, you grab your sword to fight back. Avenge the death of your parents and help repel the invading forces!
  • Treasures of the Past
Treasure maps of the lords banished by King Sigismund of Hungary, leading to the hidden treasures of those patriots, bandits and schemers.
  • From the Ashes
As a newly appointed bailiff, you must decide what buildings to erect and what people to bring in, and you must also settle disputes between the villagers. Each building is unique and comes with its own upgrades, material and labour requirements, so you will face some difficult decisions.
  • The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon
The quest DLC revolves around his attempts to woo the fairest maid he has ever set eyes upon, and his success will not depend only on his own mastery of the art of love – it’s also up to his trusty wingman, you - Henry, to ensure that The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon come to a happy end!
  • Band of Bastards
Kingdom Come: Deliverance's third DLC focuses on combat and minor skirmishes. Sir Radzig's old enemies are pillaging his estates, so he enlists the help of an old acquaintance, Kuno of Rychwald, the leader of an infamous mercenary band. Naturally, they need a guide, and who better for the job than Henry?
  • A Woman's Lot
Armed with fortitude and dignity, she faces the coming days with a smile on her lips. And since God moves in mysterious ways, none of us can know the lot we shall have to bear. But it is often those of whom we least expect it who encounter an extraordinary destiny...

Its challenging, interesting & relaxing

There are only a few games that have drawn me into their world as much as KCD. On one side we have a wonderful story with quite some surprises. The sidequests along the way also feel very natural, and all of them integrate so well into the world, that it would sometimes be hard to tell if it its a sidequest, a main quest or just a random situation you walked into. The combat is challenging at first - but this is kind of the whole point about this game: You start as a young nobody who is lucky enough to survive, and who stumbles into situations just way too big for him to handle. Slowly you get chances to improve your skills a bit as the story progresses. And this is good! It really sells the story. And if you need just some time to relax while its rainign outside: Come take a walk through the woods of KCD, which really sell the feeling of beeing out in nature like no other game i have played before.

This is an excellent game.. but

I truly wanted to love this game, if the play style had been any other format I do honestly believe it would be a breakout. However the first person mouse controlled movement style is just not playable by everyone, for myself personally it makes me extremely nauseated and I did spend a couple of hours trying to get used to it but sadly it's not meant to be. Otherwise the story is engaging, I loved have to learn how to recognize harvestable items in game, combat was engaging and challenging, the quests unique and the graphics? Beautiful! If you can handle the jiggly, jumpy FP camera then I would go ahead and get this one.

Extremely Disappointing

I really wanted to like this game and I thought that it would turn out well, but it didn't. All in all, the game is just not fun. Everything is a tedious chore that I would rather not do. If I wanted to feed chickens and the dog, I would go do so IRL (spoiler alert: I don't have chickens or a dog, because I don't feel like feeding them). The melee combat is super tedious and not at all fun. I respect the attempt to make it more realistic and do try something different, but it simply isn't fun. The archery is slightly entertaining, but it takes a lot of arrows to kill things. Making choices is a big part of this game, but some of the choices I would like to make are chosen for me, which is somewhat annoying. Invisible walls everywhere. It looks like I can go that way, but I can't. I run into an invisible with 3 guys chasing me. Welp, guess it's time to die because I can't step over that shrub. I can't stand invisible walls! Controls are clunky and unpredictable. Clicking a mouse button to attack is more like a request. It may or may not happen, and I have no clue what the permissible variables are; seems random. You can climb over some fences and rocks, but not others that are the same size.

True open world rpg elements except...

The only thing this fantastic rpg is missing is a character builder. You are forced to play that one guy which is not very rpg.

Community Overrates game

The title says it. This game is painfully average at best, but if you ever go on the reddit, or check out reviews people give it huge praise, but remember the game was hot trash at launch, and even now on its final release is just an average game with potential to be good. The gameplay is so slow, if you have ever played other open world rpgs you will notice how slow this game plays. For example travel itself is very slow, and is just a way for the developers to pad gameplay hours with artifical barriers like rivers and bushes. Picking up items takes forever because your character has to bend over and pick them up with this slow animation everytime, and yes sometimes you will put your weapon away and then pick up an item. Because for some reason the character you play as, Henry, can't pick things up with his open hand. Combat is also super slow, playing in hardcore mode, or the game in regular mode, you will notice that you are actively punished for trying to be aggressive. That would be fine, but the punishment is not to a reasonable degree. You can lose a whole fight because you got countered by your openent one time. So sometimes I literally stand there doing nothing waiting for my openent to attack me just so I can attack him. I can literally stand there looking at some guy for 20-30 seconds before they even swing. Combos suck because you often get countered halfway through the combo and never get to see the payoff. They made a save system that would be common and fine in a survival horror game, specific locations/item necessary to save, but this is an open world RPG. On launch saving was even worse. Now this may seem like I didn't like the game. I did enjoy, I have all but 5 achievements on Xbox. This review is intended to for people who want an honest review, and not some fanboy who acts like this game was the next big thing. It isn't, and it shouldn't be until the major flaws get fixed.
