In Kerbal Space Program, take charge of the space program for the alien race known as the Kerbals. You have access to an array of parts to assemble fully-functional spacecraft that flies (or doesn’t) based on realistic aerodynamic and orbital physics. Launch your Kerbal crew into orbit and beyond (while keeping them alive) to explore moons and planets in the Kerbol solar system, constructing bases and space stations to expand the reach of your expedition.
Kerbal Space Program features three gameplay modes. In Science Mode, perform space experiments to unlock new technology and advance the knowledge of Kerbalkind. In Career Mode, oversee every aspect of the space program, including construction, strategy, funding, upgrades, and more. In Sandbox, you are free to build any spacecraft you can think of, with all parts and technology in the game.
Try out the many mods created by the Kerbal Space Program community!
Build spaceships, rockets, and vehicles using any imaginable combination of parts, each with their own function that will affect the way your spacecraft behaves.
Take full control over your ship’s setup to execute complex flight maneuvers.
Manage your Kerbal crewmembers, including hiring, training, and sending them into space to become heroes.
Discover a whole star system with unique moons and planets, exploring detailed terrain at a vast scale.
Send your Kerbal crew outside their ships for “extra-vehicular” activities.
Dock spacecraft together to construct space stations, massive starships, and surface bases on new planets.
Use satellites to scan terrain and find biomes and other anomalies.
Set up communications networks to communicate between your spacecraft and Kerbal Space Center.
Research and develop new technologies to extract valuable information and resources from all over the solar system, and much more!

There are not enough stars in the rating to rate this, KSP is off the charts. Every 10 years or so there comes a game a long that redefines the gaming community and for this decade it certainly is Kerbal Space Program. It is so much more than a game as it brings enthusiasm back to space exploration to the general public that unfortunately got lost in the 90s of the last century by NASA concentrating on near earth orbits. I wished I had it when I was a teenager. As a game It combines physics, education, experimentation, sandbox, management, god game into one package. Sure it is not perfect there are some bits that could still be improved but even in alpha state this was raw diamond that just got better and better with each iteration. With 1.0 you can finally remove some of your beloved MODs out there. But be warned you might end up sinking lots and lots of your spare time into this one.
First off I wanted to clarify some confusion here. I've seen a lot of recent reviews on here talking about Redshell, Spyware, EULA etc. Redshell was added in 2018 and was then quickly removed in a patch a few weeks later due to community backlash. There's nothing to worry about now, here's the patch notes... https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/176077-kerbal-space-program-144-and-making-history-13-launching-today/
Anyways this game really does teach you how spaceflight works, far more than any text book or Youtube video can. You think you understand how it works, then you play this game and something in your brain just clicks. It's all good learning from diagrams, animations and numbers but there's something about doing it in this game that makes it so intuitive. When you finally manage to land on the Mun, it feels like a grand achievement because of all the failures you make along the way. Once you get good at it you begin to understand aspects of orbital mechanics, DeltaV requirements, rendezvous, gravity assists, resonant frequency orbits. All of that sound scary at first but the brilliance of this game is that you naturally learn it as you go, it's awesome!
First off, the game is amazing! Love it!
Secondly, there is no need for the extra software they install. EULA is a deal breaker.
If you can deal with that, then it's easy to really have fun!
This doesn't belong on GOG at all because it has DRM, and from reading other reviews, spyware as well. This is why I don't "invest" in media anymore. But at the very least the system requirements should mention that internet access is mandatory. But really, this game as a whole should be removed.
