In Kerbal Space Program, take charge of the space program for the alien race known as the Kerbals. You have access to an array of parts to assemble fully-functional spacecraft that flies (or doesn’t) based on realistic aerodynamic and orbital physics. Launch your Kerbal crew into orbit and beyond (while keeping them alive) to explore moons and planets in the Kerbol solar system, constructing bases and space stations to expand the reach of your expedition.
Kerbal Space Program features three gameplay modes. In Science Mode, perform space experiments to unlock new technology and advance the knowledge of Kerbalkind. In Career Mode, oversee every aspect of the space program, including construction, strategy, funding, upgrades, and more. In Sandbox, you are free to build any spacecraft you can think of, with all parts and technology in the game.
Try out the many mods created by the Kerbal Space Program community!
Build spaceships, rockets, and vehicles using any imaginable combination of parts, each with their own function that will affect the way your spacecraft behaves.
Take full control over your ship’s setup to execute complex flight maneuvers.
Manage your Kerbal crewmembers, including hiring, training, and sending them into space to become heroes.
Discover a whole star system with unique moons and planets, exploring detailed terrain at a vast scale.
Send your Kerbal crew outside their ships for “extra-vehicular” activities.
Dock spacecraft together to construct space stations, massive starships, and surface bases on new planets.
Use satellites to scan terrain and find biomes and other anomalies.
Set up communications networks to communicate between your spacecraft and Kerbal Space Center.
Research and develop new technologies to extract valuable information and resources from all over the solar system, and much more!
Fantastic game.
Build rockets. Launch them. Build bigger, crazier ones. Visit new worlds and crash-land on them.
Watch your creations explode horribly. Or try to rescue your kerbal when you realise one you reach a high suborbital arc that you forgot a parachute for the lander module ... and you don't have enough fuel to enter orbit.
Only reason it's not 5* is some lingering bugs and gameplay issues (tech tree exhaustion, somewhat repetitive science system).
This game is the best game i have ever played, one thing that makes it good is the fact that once you get bored, you always want to play it again later on. You always come back to KSP, no matter how bored you got, you will always play it again. That is the main reason KSP is great. Other than that, who doesn't like blowing things up??
First of all I did play the game on Steam and not on GOG. So I do not know if there are very big differences, but I agree that the game still requires a lot of work. Controls can get iffy at times, there are time compression issues, world detail issues, sometimes physics are a bit off and feel awkward. But actually despite its flaws it is still a good game and I can acknowledge that the developers put a lot of love, time and work in it. The game does not claim to be having the best physics engine and that shows in certain moments, but it is still a game and not a sim. But having said that I feel, making the game even harder will scare more people away and this is really only for people that "that like the genre" or people that love space games or are invested in this kind of games. In case you are not then this game is very likely not for you. Other than that I paid 28 euro for it and I think for this, it is quite steep for the game. In case you are still reading on and you are interested in the game. Then I have one tip for you. Buy the game, but buy it when it costs less than 10 or 15 dollar/ euro instead.

What You Take For Granted -- No More
A perpetual treat and challenge for anyone looking to understand in terms, gravity and atmosphere, this world and what does lay beyond it. Kerbal Space Program is a simple idea with all the cute graphics to frame that idea; travel from point A to point B, and return. Along the way, and as means of more efficient methods, your journey will involve testing – sometimes dramatic and unpleasant orientated results conclude one’s testing, but hey, best to view it as a learning exclamation point of sorts. The Squad release has been followed up with many MODS, and that lot at times influenced by the many videos explaining aspects of KSP thus MODS are popping off still. There is no simple and direct route to colonize another planet or moon. Each modal style of ride and station comes with its own cost and benefit reality. Sandbox mode is highly recommended if you are not up on physics to include thermal dynamics, as the game is really a go at rocket science boiled down to, child’s play. Good luck, and be sure to allot plenty of time to play as that learning curve – quite steep.
